Pope Leo brings message of peace to Lebanon after leaving Turkey

the pope's visit is like a thread of hope in a super messy situation , but it's also kinda worrying that people are still living in poverty & without basic stuff like electricity & fuel , like what's the plan to make things better?

i mean, pope leo xiv is 85 years old so he must be feeling the weight of his age, but i think he's got some serious guts for showing up in lebanon at this time . it's not just about him though, it's about giving hope to people who've lost everything

some ppl might say that the pope's message is all about unity & peace, but what about accountability? shouldn't there be some consequences for the people in power who have failed the country?

omg i feel so bad for lebanon they're going through so much turmoil right now. it's amazing that pope leo XIV is taking the time to visit them and spread some hope his message of peace and unity really resonates with me, especially given the situation in the region right now. i think he's doing a great job trying to encourage Lebanese christians who've fled abroad to come back home and demanding accountability from their leaders is super important let's all send some positive vibes to lebanon

my heart goes out to the Lebanese people they deserve so much better than this ongoing crisis it's heartbreaking to see how many innocent lives have been lost already 218 is just too many i'm not sure what pope leo XIV can do to change things but at least he's trying and that's gotta be something let's hope his visit brings some sense of calm and unity to the country it's so needed right now
