Porton Down shake-up harming critical national security science, whistleblower warns

omg did u no thats Porton Down's staff morale has gone down the drain 🤕? like from 64% engagement index to 43% in just a yr its crazy! 📉 they're also losin hundreds of jobs as part of the shake-up, which is super worrying for national security science 🚨. the gov's all like "no redundancies" but the whistleblower's not buying it 😒. the stats r in 👉 DSTL's safety record has plummeted to 1% of top-performing orgs 🤦‍♂️ and thats just the tip of the iceberg. 50 yrs of reform is a big deal, but at what cost? 💸 u think we're prepared for the consequences? 🤔

I'm so frustrated with this news 🤯. It's like, what's going on at Porton Down? One minute they're working on cutting-edge science and tech to keep our country safe, and the next, morale is tanking and staff are being treated like replaceable parts. That's just not right 💔. And to make matters worse, it seems like safety record has taken a hit too - 1% of organisations in terms of feeling they have the resources to work safely? No thanks 🚫.

I mean, I get that change is necessary, but can't they do it without sacrificing all the good people who actually know what they're doing? It's like, we need scientists and experts who are passionate about their work, not just 'grey suits' 👥. And what's with all these forced reapplications? That's just soul-sucking 🤮.

I'm seriously worried about national security now - if the people working on our defence and security aren't motivated or supported, how can we trust them to get it right? This shake-up needs a complete overhaul, imo 👊.
