Premier League: Antoine Semenyo goal ruled out as Bournemouth and Chelsea play out goalless draw

Bournemouth and Chelsea shared the spoils in a goalless draw at the Vitality Stadium, with Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo having his goal disallowed. The Cherries struggled to create clear-cut chances against the visitors, who looked more threatening on the counter-attack.

Chelsea's midfield duo of Mason Mount and Mateo Kovačić controlled the tempo of the game, allowing their full-backs to push forward and exploit Bournemouth's high defensive line. However, it was a rare moment of urgency from Chelsea that came closest to opening the scoring, as Mason Mount forced Bournemouth goalkeeper Nathan Aké into a spectacular save.

Semenyo had offered a glimmer of hope for Bournemouth with his goal, but it was ruled out after being adjudged offside by the VAR officials. Despite this disappointment, Semenyo's pace and power had provided a much-needed boost to Bournemouth's attack in the first half, and he continued to cause problems for the Chelsea defence throughout.

The result sees Bournemouth remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table, while Chelsea move up to fifth place.

Man, I'm so over these VAR calls 😩! One minute Antoine Semenyo is celebrating like he's won the league and the next, goal's offside? 🤷‍♂️ It's just frustrating for the Bournemouth fans. They were all buzzing in the first half when Semenyo scored, but then that disallowed goal took the wind out of their sails.

I think Chelsea did look pretty good on the counter-attack though 💪. Mason Mount and Mateo Kovačić are a great midfield duo, they really controlled the tempo of the game. And let's be real, Bournemouth just couldn't create any clear chances 🤦‍♂️. They're struggling at the bottom of the table and it's gonna take some serious work to turn things around.

I'm curious to see how Bournemouth bounce back from this draw 🤔. Do they make some signings in the transfer window or do they stick with what they've got? And how will Chelsea keep pushing up the league table without their key players being injured all the time? 🤞

😐 that game was so intense ⚽️ i think semenyo was 🔥 but sadly offside 🤦‍♂️Chelsea played really good defense 🚫 and bournemouth just couldn't create much 🤔 mason mount is super fast 💨 but that save by aké was insane 🙌 so many turns in the game ⚡️ bournemouth needs to work on their midfield 🔴👍

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s crazy how one goal can be the difference between winning and losing in football 🤯. I mean, Antoine Semenyo was looking like a real threat out there with his pace and power, and that disallowed goal would have been a game-changer for Bournemouth 💔. But, you know, sometimes VAR just gets it wrong, right? 😕

It's also interesting to see how Chelsea adapted their playing style mid-game, going from being all defensive to pushing more forward and taking the game to Bournemouth 🔄. Mason Mount was looking pretty sharp out there too, always on the move and creating chances for his teammates 👏.

Anyway, I guess that’s just the way it goes sometimes – you have to take the good with the bad 💪. Bournemouth will be hoping to bounce back from this one, while Chelsea can finally enjoy some decent points 🎉.

ugh why do these goalless draws happen?! 🙄 i was so hyped for bournemouth to finally get a win but noooo semenyo's goal gets taken away from him like that 😤 and chelsea just parked the bus and relied on mason mount's long-range shots 🚫 it's so frustrating!

Meh, that was a pretty intense match 😐💪. I feel bad for Bournemouth though, they were really struggling to create chances against Chelsea's solid midfield 🤔👍. Semenyo was like a breath of fresh air, his pace and power gave them a much-needed boost 💨😃. But that goal disallowed by VAR was just harsh, it looked offside to me 🙅‍♂️🏆.

Chelsea's counter-attacking gameplan seemed to pay off for them, they were always looking for quick transitions ⚡🔥. And Mason Mount's save from Aké was crazy impressive 😲👏. Bournemouth need to sort out their defense if they wanna climb the table 📈💪. What do you guys think about this result? 👀

I'm still not impressed with those goal-line tech VAR officials 🤦‍♂️. In all seriousness tho, I think Bournemouth's high defensive line was a risk worth taking against a counter-attacking team like Chelsea. They did manage to create some chances, and Semenyo's pace is definitely something to build on. For Chelsea, it's just another frustrating draw in an otherwise decent season so far 🤔. And can we talk about how many times Mount had to bail out his teammates with incredible saves? 😂

I'm not surprised they drew at all 🤔... both teams kinda looked like they were just going through the motions, you know? Bournemouth's attack was always gonna be a problem if they can't get clear chances, and Chelsea did a good job of nullifying that threat.

But I do think Semenyo's goal would've been a game-changer... he's got some serious speed and power, and it looks like he's finally starting to click into gear. Hopefully he can build on this performance and get Bournemouth out of the relegation zone.

And yeah, Chelsea looked pretty dominant at times, especially with Mount and Kovačić controlling the midfield 🤯... but that one save from Aké was incredible! You never know what could've been if that had gone in 🙃.

I'm not loving this latest EPL season so far 🤔😐. It seems like teams are more focused on parking the bus than actually creating chances, if you ask me. I mean, a goalless draw isn't exactly thrilling, is it? 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, I do think Bournemouth should've gotten something from that match, especially with Semenyo's pace and power causing issues for Chelsea. Oh well, maybe they'll turn their season around soon 💪🏽🔥

Ugh I'm getting so frustrated with these football articles 🤯... can't they just format this info in a decent way?! 📝 Okay, let's break it down. So Bournemouth and Chelsea played each other and it was super uneventful 😴, just like I said before. They had some chances but none of them really counted for anything 🙅‍♂️.

But seriously, the most annoying part is when they mention Semenyo scored a goal but then say it got disallowed... can't they just show us the stats?! 📊 Like, how many goals did he try to score and how many were disallowed? Just give me that info! And what's with all these tiny paragraphs? Can we get some bigger blocks for easier reading? 💡
