Premier League news: Carrick vows United will not ease up; Isak saga is behind us, says Howe

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick has dismissed any notion that his side will ease up on Fulham when they host the Londoners at Old Trafford this weekend. Speaking ahead of the match, which sees United level with their rivals on 38 points, a four-point gap from top.

Tough game, tough challenge," said Carrick. "Marco has got Fulham into a really good team. Just because we are at home, taking anything for granted is bang out of order so it might be a case it's the same flow of the game as the last two weeks."

The Red Devils have been in excellent form recently, taking wins over Manchester City and Arsenal to boost their Premier League position. Joshua Zirkzee has returned to training after injury, with Carrick expressing excitement at working with the 22-year-old again.

But despite United's recent successes, one player will be absent for the match against Fulham - Patrick Dorgu, who suffered a muscle injury during the win over Arsenal and is set to be out of action for several weeks.

Meanwhile, Eddie Howe says Newcastle are not looking back at their transfer dealings as he prepares his side to face Liverpool this weekend. The Magpies manager believes that Alexander Isak's protracted £125m transfer to Manchester City has been forgotten by both the player and the club.

Howe revealed that while transfers are "part of the job" of a manager, it is fair to judge him on the performance of his current squad rather than last season. The Magpies will look to bounce back from their latest defeat as they travel to Anfield in a bid to beat Liverpool for just the second time in 29 years.

Arsenal's title rivals Tottenham have also made some significant signings, including Conor Gallagher and Souza, before the transfer window closes on Monday night. However, it has been reported that goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga is set to join Rangers on loan ahead of his departure.

Chelsea are still on the hunt for defensive reinforcements, with centre-half Levi Colwill ruled out for the remainder of the season with a long-term injury. The Blues have been linked with several targets in the final days of the transfer window, and club director Liam Rosenior has confirmed that the sporting directors are actively working to strengthen the squad.

The Hammers' situation looks increasingly bleak, as West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo is determined to keep his side above the relegation zone. The Portuguese tactician believes he can get the best out of Adama Traoré and boost West Ham's survival drive with the addition of a new winger.

Despite being 17th in the Premier League table, Rosenior has vowed that reinforcements will be the right move if available. "The guys are working hard to stay on top of things in terms of information on what's out there," said the Chelsea director.

You know, I was thinkin' about this and it made me realize, no matter how good or bad we are at somethin', we're all in this together 💡. Like Manchester United and Fulham, they're both tryin' to achieve the same goal - winnin' games and stayin' up. And Newcastle's deal for Isak might've been a major setback, but Eddie Howe's not lookin' back; he's focusin' on what's happenin' now 🕰️.

And then there's West Ham... they're strugglin', but Nuno Santo's still hopin' to keep 'em up. I reckon that's the key - stayin' positive and workin' hard, even when things don't seem like they're goin' your way 💪. It's easy to give up or point fingers, but that's not gonna get you where you want to be 🤔.

ugh cant believe manchester united is gettin easy on fulham lol carrick better watch his back, they dont wanna get smashed at home 4 point gap and all that but i think fulham got some decent skills so idk how u2c go about this one 😒⚽

⚽️ This season is getting intense, feels like teams are making smart moves to strengthen their squads and keep up with the pace of the league 🔄.

I'm loving the underdog story of West Ham, they can't be counted out just yet ⏱️. Nuno Espírito Santo seems like a shrewd coach who knows how to get the best out of his players 💡.

The transfer window drama is always entertaining, but let's see what happens on the pitch first 🤔. I'm keeping an eye on Chelsea and their defensive struggles - do they finally find some solid recruits? 🚫

omg cant wait for the match this weekend at old trafford! carrick is so right we shouldnt take anything for granted against fulham its gonna be a tough game esp with joshua zirkzee back in training 🤩💪

I don't know about that, I mean I do know that Fulham is gonna give it a go against Man U and that's for sure 🤔... but at the same time, I'm not so sure if they've got the depth to take on United, I mean, Carrick said something about it being a tough challenge but also mentioned something about taking nothing for granted? Idk what to think 🤷‍♂️. On another note, I'm kinda excited to see Joshua Zirkzee back in action for Man U, that kid's got some serious skills 💪... or does he? Hasn't he been out injured for a while now? 🤔😕

Man United can't just coast to victory at home just 'cause they're leading 4 points from the title, you feel? They gotta keep it intense against Fulham, don't wanna give them any hope 🙅‍♂️. And on a separate note, I'm loving how Arsenal's been on fire lately 😃, beats City and then takes down Man U... what's next for them?!

Love how competitive every team is atm 😍! Manchester United being realistic about their next match against Fulham, I love it 💪! They've been on fire lately but still need to be careful not to take anything for granted 🙅‍♂️. And I'm so excited to see Joshua Zirkzee back in training - he's gonna bring some serious energy to that squad 🔥! On the other hand, poor Patrick Dorgu with a muscle injury 🤕... hoping he makes a speedy recovery soon 💕! Meanwhile, Newcastle is staying focused on their current squad and not looking back at last season 🙌. And Tottenham just got even more interesting with those new signings 🤔. It's gonna be an epic weekend of Premier League action! 😆

I'm low-key hyped for this Manchester United vs Fulham match 🤯💥 it's gonna be a real grind, but Carrick seems like he's keeping his cool about it. I mean, those recent wins over City and Arsenal have got them on fire 🔥 but Fulham is no pushover - Marco Silva's team has been solid. Patrick Dorgu's injury is a bit of a bummer, though 🤕 can't wait to see Joshua Zirkzee back in the mix.

And meanwhile, Newcastle is trying to move past that Isak transfer drama... honestly, it's like they're still holding onto hope 😂 but Eddie Howe's all about focus on the present. The way he's downplaying transfers and focusing on his current squad makes sense - performance matters most at this point in the season. Speaking of which, Chelsea's looking for some serious defensive reinforcements 🚨 with Levi Colwill out for the year. How they manage to stay strong will be super interesting to watch 👀

omg i love how carrick is staying focused on the game even though they're at home lmao 38 points is crazy! fulham better bring their A-game tho 🤯 meanwhile, eddie howe seems so chill about transfers lol forget about alexander isak who cares? 🙅‍♂️ and omg west ham's situation is getting more desperate by the minute 😬 nuno espírito santo needs to get that winger ASAP or they're gonna get relegated 💔

I'm getting a bit worried about West Ham, tbh 💔 they're struggling and it's getting real, you know? Nuno Espírito Santo needs to bring in some decent players ASAP or they might get relegated 🚫. I mean, 17th place is like, "oh no, we're not gonna make it"... but still, West Ham has got some talented players like Adama Traoré 🔥, he just needs some support. The new winger could be the difference maker, fingers crossed! 🤞

Man U is gonna crush Fulham at home 🤯! Carrick's all like "we can't relax" and I'm all about it 👊 They've been killing it lately, especially with Zirkzee back in training 😎 Can't wait to see what he brings to the party ⚽️ On the other hand, Newcastle is really trying to move on from that Isak transfer drama 🙄 It's not like it's a big deal now. Eddie's all about looking forward and performing with the squad he's got right now 💪

I think Man U and Fulham are gonna have a real barnburner at Old Trafford 🎯💥. Carrick's not buying any complacency, which is fair considering how well Fulham's done this season. Meanwhile, I'm intrigued to see what Newcastle will do against Liverpool - is Eddie Howe trying to prove a point with his squad performance focus? 🤔 And honestly, I'm a bit concerned about West Ham... I mean, who doesn't love Adama Traoré on the pitch though 😂?

Imagine this: 📈
|
| Manchester United
v
| Fulham
| (at Old Trafford)
|__________
|
| Goal Difference: 4-Points gap from top

This is gonna be a tough one! 😬 Carrick's right, no taking anything for granted. Those recent wins over City & Arsenal have boosted morale but we can't get complacent. 🙅‍♂️

On another note, Newcastle's transfer situation is getting sorted... 🤝 Howe says they're not dwelling on Isak's transfer. That's a good sign!

Arsenal's got some new signings too! 🎉 Conor Gallagher & Souza are among them. But Gazzaniga's off to Rangers? 😱

Chelsea's still searching for defensive reinforcements... 🤔 Levi Colwill's injury is long-term, so they need to act fast.

West Ham's survival drive is on 🔥 Nuno Espírito Santo wants a new winger to boost their chances. Wish them luck! 🤞

Dunno why ppl think United is gonna take it easy at home, they're having a good run and shouldn't be complacent 🤔. Fulham's team is pretty solid right now, so I'm thinking it's gonna be a tough one for both teams... maybe even more intense than the last two weeks 😬.

I love how Eddie Howe is looking ahead and not dwelling on transfers gone wrong. That's good management. Newcastle needs to focus on their current squad and get those wins under their belt 💪. And what's up with Spurs? All these new signings, but are they gonna make a difference? ⚔️

Chelsea's defense issues need to be sorted ASAP... Levi Colwill is out for the season, that's like losing two defenders at once 😱. I'm not sure if West Ham can turn things around without some reinforcements though, it's getting pretty desperate 🔥. The Hammers' situation is looking more and more bleak by the day.

I'm really curious about this match between Manchester United and Fulham 🤔. It sounds like Fulham is doing really well, and I love how Carrick isn't going to give them an easy time just because they're playing at home 😅. He wants to make sure they don't get too comfortable, which makes sense.

Meanwhile, it's interesting that Newcastle's manager, Eddie Howe, is not worried about the transfer drama with Alexander Isak 🤷‍♂️. I think he's right, though - his team's performance this season should speak for itself.

And what's up with West Ham? They're in a tough spot and need to make some changes if they want to stay up 😬. Maybe getting a new winger will be the boost they need to turn things around 🌟

Ugh, so many teams are getting back into form at the worst time... Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle, and even West Ham are all giving their rivals a run for their money 🤯. I mean, it's always exciting when everyone is pushing hard, but now I'm worried that the top spots might get super competitive 🔥. And speaking of competitiveness, Fulham seems like they're gonna be a tough nut to crack at Old Trafford... I need to see some updates on the matchday layout though 😒

Man U is still fire 🚀! Been in a sick run lately and Carrick knows how to manage his squad. Fulham won't go down without a fight though, they've got some good players like Zirkzee who just came back from injury 💪

The other teams are all over the place though 😂. Howe says he's not worried about Isak's transfer drama, but it's hard to deny the impact on his squad. Newcastle needs a win against Liverpool ASAP 🙌.

Chelsea's defense is a mess 🔴💔 and they need some reinforcements ASAP. West Ham is in a tough spot, but Nuno's experience will help them stay up for now ⚓️. Can't wait for Monday night's transfers to shake things up 🔄

🤔 So I think Manchester United needs to be careful about taking Fulham lightly, you know? They've had some great wins recently and their squad has been doing really well under Marco Silva. It's not like they're just going to roll over and concede points because it's an away game at Old Trafford... that would be silly 🙅‍♂️

And I'm with Eddie Howe on this one, Newcastle should focus on what they've got right now rather than dwelling on transfers gone wrong. They can't change the past but they need to look forward and perform with the squad they have now ⏱️.

But West Ham is a different story... their situation does look pretty bleak if you ask me 😬. Nuno's got some great players like Adama Traoré, so he needs to find ways to get them more involved in the match... maybe getting a new winger in could be just what they need to turn things around 🔄

ugh this transfer window is killing me 😩💔 every time i see a team make a signing its like they think itll magically solve all their problems 🤯 meanwhile man united and newcastle are just cruising along with their current squad 👍🏻 at least carwick knows how to manage his bench properly 💪 now if only west ham could get their act together 🙄
