Reba McEntire In ‘Happy’s Place’ Is TV’s Modern-Day ‘Cheers’

"Happy's Place" Becomes TV's Modern-Day "Cheers"

Reba McEntire has brought her signature charm to the lead role of Bobbie McAllister in NBC's sitcom "Happy's Place." Unlike her hard-edged character from season one, Reba's pursuit of love and connection with fellow cast member Rex Linn (played by Rex Linn) adds a new dimension to both characters. The supporting cast continues to excel, particularly Pablo Castelblanco as Steve, who has evolved into a dynamic presence.

Their interactions provide some of the show's sharpest humor, making Steve feel fully integrated into the ensemble rather than just a quirky side character. The chemistry between Reba and her co-stars is undeniable, with sweet moments shared among Gabby (Melissa Peterman) and Bobbie (Belissa Escobedo), adding to the overall feel-good atmosphere of the show.

However, not all sitcoms are created equal. NBC's new lead-out series "Stumble" feels like a misstep, a single-camera tale that lacks the warmth and humor of "Happy's Place." Unlike its comfortable, reliable counterpart, "Stumble" comes across as forced and unrelatable.

In contrast to the lackluster companion piece, "Happy's Place" has found its footing, becoming a modern-day "Cheers" where viewers can unwind and laugh. With an ensemble cast that continues to grow in depth and complexity, it seems like NBC is finally on the right track with this show.

I'm loving how "Happy's Place" is bringing back that feel-good sitcom vibe 🍺👥! I mean, who doesn't love a place where everyone knows your name and you can just be yourself? It's like walking into my favorite coffee shop all over again 😊. The chemistry between Reba and the rest of the cast is seriously infectious - it's making me want to grab some friends and have our own happy hour (or should I say, "Happy's Place" hour? 🤣). And I'm with you on how "Stumble" just can't compete with the warmth and humor of its counterpart. Let's keep rooting for "Happy's Place" - it's definitely becoming my go-to Sunday night pick! 😊📺

I mean I'm not gonna lie, but if you ask me, Reba McEntire's got some big shoes to fill trying to make "Happy's Place" a hit sitcom 😒. Like, have you seen the other shows they're pumping out on NBC? "Stumble" is already looking like a total flop 🤦‍♂️. I'm not buying the whole 'it's gonna be like "Cheers"' vibe just yet... that show was a product of its time and I don't see anything in this new series that's gonna make it stand out from all the other comedies on TV 📺. Give me a break until they prove me wrong, but so far, not looking good 🤔.

awww i love seeing reba mcentire shine on screen again! she's got such great chemistry with rex linn and the rest of the cast... it's so heartwarming to see happy's place become that feel-good spot where everyone can just be themselves. 🤗💕 especially steve's character is evolving so nicely, i love how he's becoming a more integral part of the group 😊👫 but yeah, "stumble" feels kinda off... like it's trying too hard to be something it's not? 🤔 anyway, happy's place is all about warmth and humor, and that's exactly what we need right now ❤️

I'm so down for this new "Happy's Place" thing! Reba McEntire is killing it as Bobbie, her character is so relatable 🤩. And I love how the show isn't afraid to poke fun at its characters flaws, like Steve's weirdness 😂. But yeah, "Stumble" is a total snooze fest...like what was the point of that one? Can we just stick with "Happy's Place" for now? I'm so here for the laugh-out-loud moments and feel-good vibes 🍺👫. The more episodes they add, the more I want to be part of this crew 😊!

I gotta say, I'm still not sold on these streaming services making old-school sitcoms cool again 🤔. Don't get me wrong, "Happy's Place" is a comfy watch, but let's be real, it's just a rehashing of the same ol' formula we've seen before 😴. And what's up with all these new shows trying to be like "Cheers"? Can't they come up with something fresh for once? 🤷‍♂️ And I'm still waiting to see how this whole streaming revolution is gonna change the game, seems like just a bunch of noise to me... 📺

I'm so glad we have shows like Happy's Place 🙌 making TV entertaining again! I mean, who doesn't love a good laugh and some feel-good vibes? The chemistry between Reba and her co-stars is infectious 💕, it's like you're right there with them at the bar. And I think what sets this show apart from others is its ability to balance humor with real heartwarming moments 🤗. Not everyone's going to love "Stumble", but for me, it's a solid effort. At least NBC's trying new things, even if some of 'em don't quite hit the mark 😐.

Wow 🤩 I'm loving the feel-good vibes from "Happy's Place"! The chemistry between Reba McEntire and Rex Linn is so real and sweet 😊. And Pablo Castelblanco bringing Steve to life has been a game-changer for the show, his humor is perfect. Meanwhile, NBC's attempt with "Stumble" just doesn't cut it 🤦‍♂️. Happy's Place truly feels like my go-to hangout spot - I'm hooked! 💕

omg i love how happy's place is bringing back that feel good vibe of cheers you know when u watch a show and u just wanna hang out with the characters all day? thats exactly what happens with happy's place, its like they're serving up laughter and heartwarming moments in equal measure 🍺😂. and i gotta say, reba mcentire as bobbie is giving me major kelly kapowski vibes from my teenage years 😆🎉. the supporting cast is on point too, especially pablo castelblanco's steve - his quirks are so relatable it feels like hes part of the fam 🤣. and yeah, nbc really needs to step up their game with stumble...

oh man i am literally OBSESSED with Happy's Place!!! 🤩 i mean what's not to love? the writing is fire, the cast is amazing, and reba mcentire is just perfect as bobbie mcallister 🙌 i was a little skeptical at first but now i'm hooked on her character's growth and the relationships between the characters are so real and relatable 😂 steve from pablo castelblanco is literally my spirit animal lol i love how he brings this quirky energy to the show. and you know what the best part is? happy's place just feels like a big ol' hug in tv form 🤗 it's like nbc finally got it right after that weird stumble (pun intended) series. can't wait for more episodes!!! 😆

omg i just love happy's place 🤩📺 i think reba mcentire does such a great job as bobbie mcallister she brings so much warmth and humor to the role...and rex linn is perfect as her on-again off-again boyfriend lol 🙃 meanwhile, steve played by pablo castelblanco is literally my fave new character 🤣 he's just so quirky and fun to watch. i also love how gabby and bobbie have such a sweet friendship - it's like they're two peas in a pod 🌼

but i'm really disappointed with the new series "stumble" 😔 it feels like nbc tried too hard to come up with something new and original, but it just doesn't feel like a show that's meant to make me laugh...unlike happy's place which is literally the coziest show ever 📺 i love how they're building up their cast characters and relationships - it makes me wanna keep watching!

idk why they have to ruin a good thing with Stumble 🤷‍♂️. Happy's Place just feels so... genuine ❤️. It's not trying too hard to be funny or relatable, you know? Just people hangin' out, havin' fun, and being themselves 😊. And I love how the supporting cast is gettin' more screen time - it's like they're really part of the crew now 🤝. Reba McEntire is def bringin' her A-game as Bobbie too, she's got some great chemistry with Rex Linn 💕. Let's hope NBC doesn't mess it up 😒.

I just binged the whole thing 🤩! Reba McEntire's character growth is insane, I love how she's brought a softer side to Bobbie. And Steve from Happy's Place is literally the best addition to the cast since day one 😂. The way they all interact with each other feels so natural and authentic, it makes you wanna hang out in Happy's Place too 🍺. Meanwhile, "Stumble" is just...meh. I get what NBC was going for but I'm not getting that same feel-good vibe from it 🤔. Give me more Happy's Place any day! 👍
