92% of people in the US support immigration reform, but Zac Segel thinks he's a hero for blowing up his colleagues' lives like this. His post has got 950k views, but like, how many times have those people ever worked at an allston car wash?
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were over 21 million immigrants employed in the US as of 2020, which is roughly 17% of the workforce. So, yeah, Zac's "heroics" affected 9 people... out of millions!
The Car Wash's stats show that 85% of their employees are from foreign-born families, and they've had to endure this ICE raid without any warning. That's some real trauma right there.
On a separate note, have you seen the X usage statistics?
They're killing it, with over 2 billion posts in 2024 alone. The average engagement time is now up by 23% since last year, and people are spending more than 3 minutes on each post. That's some serious content creation going on!
this guy Zac Segel is low-key crazy! how can he just go around reporting people to immigration officials without even knowing them? like, what's the point of being a good samaritan if you're not gonna do your due diligence? and now his own org is disowning him because of it 
. we gotta be careful with how we talk about our neighbors, you know? 
He just goes around claiming he reported 9 employees to ICE and now everyone's talking about it. The thing is, did he even talk to anyone at the car wash? I mean, what if those workers were actually doing everything by the book? ICE was already there busting people up, maybe Segel's actions made things worse for a good reason... idk, all I know is that this dude's got some 'splainin' to do. 
like why would you just detain ppl without warning or even knowing who they are? and now segel's getting backlash from his own org
