Report: Eagles interviewing Zac Robinson for open offensive coordinator job

The Atlanta Falcons' current offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is set to sit down with another high-profile team, this time the Philadelphia Eagles. According to ESPN, Robinson is in talks for an interview with the Eagles as they seek a new candidate for their vacant offensive coordinator position.

A look at Robinson's coaching background suggests he has made significant strides in his role at the Atlanta Falcons. He started out working behind the scenes, first serving as assistant quarterbacks coach and then transitioning into more prominent positions such as assistant wide receivers coach and pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach. His experience with the team for the past two seasons has yielded some notable statistics – 14 points per game, 23 yards per game in 2025, and a significant increase in passing yards per game from 18 to 24.

However, despite these improvements, the Falcons' offense did struggle with giveaways in both 2024 and 2025. This may indicate that Robinson's coaching style is still evolving and that he needs to find ways to minimize errors on the field.

The Eagles are taking a cautious approach in their search for an offensive coordinator, casting a wide net as they seek the best candidate for the job. They've already had interviews with Robinson, but also spoke to other teams including the Buccaneers and Lions, suggesting they're not ruling out any possibilities at this stage.

Robinson's own playing experience adds an interesting layer to his coaching career – he played quarterback in the NFL from 2010 to 2013, although he never appeared in a regular-season game. It will be fascinating to see how his past as a player influences his approach to the game and whether that will give him an edge in the interview process with the Eagles.

Ultimately, Robinson's success at the Atlanta Falcons could determine his fate in Philadelphia – it remains to be seen whether he'll be able to replicate those results with a new team.

I hope Zac Robinson lands the job with the Eagles 🤞🏼💼. As a parent, I know how hard it is to balance everything and find your footing, especially when you're trying something new. It sounds like Robinson has been doing that at Falcons for two seasons already! 14 points per game is no joke, that's amazing 💥.

I think it's cool that he played QB in the NFL too, it shows he's got a good understanding of the game from different angles 🏈. He might be able to bring some fresh ideas to the Eagles and help them turn things around this season 👍. Fingers crossed for him! 👍

I'm thinking what would make Zac Robinson a good fit for the Eagles? 🤔 I mean, the guy's done alright at the Falcons, but they still had some issues with giveaways... Maybe the Eagles can help him iron that out and get their offense firing on all cylinders? 📈 He's played QB in the NFL too, so maybe his experience as a player will give him an edge in the interview process. But, to be honest, I don't know much about football, so what do I know? 😅

I'm thinkin' the Eagles are doin' themselves a solid by keepin' their options open 😊. With all these big-name coaches comin' and goin', you gotta stay flexible, right? I mean, Zac Robinson's got some great credentials under his belt with the Falcons, but sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to get things revved up 🔁. And who knows, maybe this change is just what he needs to take his game to the next level 🚀. One thing's for sure, I'll be keepin' an eye on how he does in Philly – gotta see if he can translate that Falcons magic to the Linc 🏈!

I think its kinda cool that Zac Robinson is getting another shot in the NFL 🤔. He's like one of those guys who has been all around the league, playing as a QB and now coaching. I wonder if his experience as a player will help him connect with the players better on the Eagles' team 🏈. It's also interesting that they're talking to other teams before finalizing a decision - you'd think it would be easier just to go with one guy, but I guess the Eagles want to make sure they get the best fit for their offense 💡.

The question is, is Zac Robinson's past playing experience really that relevant? I mean, the dude never even played in a regular season game, but still managed to make an impact as a coach at the Falcons. It's not like he's gonna magically start calling audibles because he used to be the QB 🤔. His experience with the team and the numbers don't lie, he's got some solid skills going on there. Maybe the Eagles should just focus on his coaching abilities rather than his playing past? Could make for an interesting interview process 👀

I'm loving this move by Zac Robinson 🤔... like I get where the Eagles are coming from, they're not gonna rush into anything, but at the same time, you gotta wonder if Robinson's got what it takes to make that offense pop 💪... his numbers with the Falcons are pretty promising, but turnovers and giveaways can be a real killer in the NFL 🤦‍♂️... I'm also curious about how he'll bring that quarterback experience into the role - will he be more aggressive on play-calling? 📝

I'm not sure if Zac Robinson is ready for the big leagues just yet 🤔. Don't get me wrong, he's had some great moments with the Falcons, but those giveaways are a major concern. If he can iron out that aspect of his game, I think he's got a shot at Philly 😊. And hey, being a former QB himself might actually be an asset – who knows how much insight he'll bring to the table? 🤝 It'll be interesting to see how the Eagles approach this interview and whether they're looking for someone with a similar background or just someone who can get the job done 💯.

🤔 just wondering if the eagles are trying to create their own QB from scratch instead of just finding another OC 🏈💡 maybe they wanna play with someone who's got that QB brain but also knows how to adapt their system 💥

I'm thinking... 🤔 but I don't know, maybe Zac Robinson is a total bust and the Falcons were just lucky with him? 😂 Like, have you seen their defense this season? They're straight fire 🔥. But at the same time, Robinson's numbers are pretty sweet, especially that increase in passing yards per game from 18 to 24... 📈 what even is that?! Maybe he's a genius or something? 🤷‍♂️ I'm so confused about this whole thing. Do you think the Eagles will offer him the job based on his playing experience as a quarterback? 🤔 I mean, it's like, does having played in the NFL count for anything in coaching? 🤷‍♂️

Ugh, I'm still trying to process why they keep bringing up the giveaways 🤦‍♂️ like it's such a major thing! 14 points per game and 23 yards per game in 2025 is actually kinda impressive 🤑. But you're right, he needs to work on minimizing errors, that's just basic football knowledge 💡. I'm super curious about how his playing experience as a QB will influence his coaching style though 🤔. Did he learn anything from being a backup or starter? Will it give him an edge in Philly? Only time will tell 🕰️. One thing's for sure, the Eagles need to find someone who can stabilize their offense and make them a contender again ⏪. Fingers crossed Zac Robinson can deliver 🤞!

lol, think the Eagles are gonna take a risk on this guy 🤔? Idk about me, but Zac Robinson does seem like he's getting it right with the Falcons 2 seasons in - that stat line he dropped is straight fire! 😂 But at the same time, giveaways r still a problem... maybe its just a case of him figuring out how 2 minimize those mistakes? 🤷‍♂️ Not sure what kinda edge his playing exp will bring to the table but if anyone can make it work, its Robinson. Fingers crossed he can take the Falcon magic 2 Philly! 💜

I'm so over how many threads on this forum are just rehashed articles from ESPN 😒. Can't we have some original discussion around here? I mean, I know the article says Robinson has made strides in Atlanta, but is it really that exciting to talk about quarterback stats and NFL coaching styles all day? 🤷‍♂️

And another thing, why do I always get bombarded with comments from people who haven't even followed this thread before? "Can someone summarize what Zac Robinson's experience is?" Um, did you not read the article? 😂 It's right there on the first page.

I swear, the only reason we have a discussion section on this forum is so we can rehash every sports article that comes out. Can't we talk about something else for once? 🤔 Like how the moderation team could improve their handling of threads or something...

Omg I'm so hyped for Zac Robinson 🤩! He seems like an amazing coach and I love how he's always trying to improve his team's game 😊. The fact that the Eagles are considering him for their head coaching position is huge 💥! His experience playing QB in the NFL will definitely bring a unique perspective to the job, and who knows maybe it'll be just what they need to take their offense to the next level 🚀. Fingers crossed he gets the gig and can make some magic happen in Philly 💫!

🤔 just saw this news about Zac Robinson and I gotta say, 14 points per game is crazy for the Falcons! 💥 But yeah, giveaways are still a thing, that's like, really frustrating for fans... 🤦‍♂️ what if he can minimize those mistakes with the Eagles? 🤞 it'd be nice to see him bring some of that Falcons magic to Philly 🎉

🤔 The thing about Zac Robinson is that while he's made some cool strides in Atlanta, I think he needs to work on finding ways to minimize those giveaways on the field 🚨💥. He's got some solid stats and all, but offense is all about finesse, you know? You can't just throw it up there and hope for the best - you gotta be smart about it too 💡📊
