I mean, think about it
... is this really the best way for Microsoft to make its cloud gaming service accessible to everyone? I'm not saying they're not trying to reach casual players, but does ad-supported access really feel like a fair trade-off? It's like, what's the value in watching ads just so you can play one hour of your favorite game?
And don't even get me started on the 1-hour time limit
... it feels like they're not trusting their users to make good choices. What if someone really wants to play a game for hours, but they're stuck with an ad break every hour? It's just a hassle.
I feel like Microsoft could be doing more innovative stuff here, like those timed demo streams that critics mentioned
. At least then you'd know what you're getting into and could make some informed decisions about whether or not to spend your time watching ads.
It's all just food for thought, but I guess this is the way it goes sometimes
