Republicans silent and Democrats incensed on fifth anniversary of US Capitol attack

omg u think republicans r just gonna forget about that day?? they cant even get thru the 5 year anniv without talkin bout it 🤯 trump's actions were so sus and now he got all these ppl pardoned who actually hurt ppl 🙅‍♂️ i dont get why dems are makin a big deal outta this tho, didnt they also get attacked? 🤔 but at the same time, its not like trumps just forgot what happened, he knew what was goin on 💯 and now hes just settlin for everyone elses fate 🙄 and btw, ashli babbitts mom is still lookin for justice 👀

I'm still trying to process why there's no major response from Republicans about the 5th anniversary of the US Capitol attack 🤔. It's like they're ignoring the whole thing or something. I mean, I get that Trump got pardoned for his role in it all, but come on! The guy was involved in an insurrection that hurt so many people and damaged a historic building 😱.

I'm also really annoyed that Democrats are still pushing for accountability from those who enabled the violence 🙄. It's not just about Trump; it's about the whole system that lets far-right extremism run wild. We need to hold everyone accountable, including politicians who enable it with their words and actions 🤦‍♀️.

And can we please talk about Ashli Babbitt for a second? She was a victim of violence on January 6, and yet her memory is still being politicized 🌹. It's not just about Trump or the Capitol attack; it's about respecting the lives lost that day.

I'm just really frustrated that this whole situation is still so polarized 🔥. We need to find a way to have a real conversation about what happened and how we can prevent it from happening again 🗣️.

😒 I'm not surprised, tbh... politicians are only good at pretending to care when it benefits them, but as soon as they're out of the spotlight, they fall back into their usual silence. It's like they think we won't remember or that we'll just move on. But this attack was a big deal 🤯, and it's still not over yet. Those pardons are basically giving a free pass to people who tried to kill our democracy. And Trump's response is just classic - downplaying everything and trying to shift the blame. It's like he thinks we're all just gonna take his word for it 💔. The only ones making sense here are the Democrats, but even they could do more to hold everyone accountable 🤷‍♂️.
