OMG, can you believe this? £25k pension error is just ridiculous! I mean, Derek Ritchie has been living on that pension since 2014 and now he's being forced to go back to work because of a mistake that wasn't even his fault! And to make matters worse, the company managing the scheme, Capita, is just using fancy words like "expertise and innovation" to cover up their own incompetence. I feel so bad for this guy, he's already 63 and now he's being forced to work again because of a mistake that could've been easily avoided if someone had double-checked the figures!
this is just awful. £25k pension error and now he's gotta pay it all back? that's not just unfair, it's also kinda cruel. I mean, 11 years of planning for retirement and it's all because some numbers got miscalculated. how can you put a price on peace of mind, right?
I feel so sorry for Derek Ritchie. He didn't even get an explanation for the mistake which just adds insult to injury. I guess he has no choice but to consider going back to work full-time... that's a nightmare come true for anyone who thought they were done with their working life. it's like, what's the point of having a pension if you're just gonna have to pay it all back?
I think it's pretty harsh that someone like Derek Ritchie is being forced to pay back £25k just because of a mistake made by the company managing his pension scheme. He's already 63, and now he has to consider going back to work full-time? That's a bit ridiculous, if you ask me . The fact that he didn't even get an explanation for the error is just cherry-picking on the part of the company. I mean, what kind of pension scheme can't even be bothered to give its members a heads up about their own mistake?
this is such a messed up situation , like what even is £25k? that's not exactly chump change for anyone trying to retire comfortably after decades of service to the country. and then you gotta consider the principle of it all - how could they let this happen in the first place? i mean, we're talking about people who have dedicated their lives to serving others, and now they're being forced back into a life of work just because of some bureaucratic mistake . and the fact that capita is claiming expertise and innovation but ritchie isn't buying it is fair enough. this whole thing stinks of incompetence on a massive scale
Ugh I feel so bad for this guy He's been through so much just because of a £25k mistake... that's mental! How can you live with the knowledge that you're going to have to work full-time again after 11 years of retirement? And it's not like he had any idea it was wrong, just got told in March that his payments were all messed up. The system is so broken and I just don't get why they can't just sort it out once and for all.
