RFL approves law changes for new season including changes to video referee decisions and shot clock

I think this change with the video referee decisions might take some getting used to 🤔... I mean, it's better that we have a clear explanation of what happened on the field, but at the same time, I don't want to see all the games stopped because someone needs 10 seconds to check if it's a try or not. I'm just worried about the pace of the game getting slowed down too much ⏱️... and yeah, the shot clock change makes sense, we need to keep things moving at a faster clip 💨...

🤔 gotta say, introducing a shot clock for goal kicks feels like a good move. reduces stress on kickers and makes the game more fast-paced. also, it's only fair that the video referee gets involved when there's a possible try... should've been the case all along 💯

🤔 so its about time they made these changes dont think its a big deal but yeah video referees can be super annoying when theyre slow or get it wrong u mean if there was no try then fine wait for the video ref to say otherwise but if there was a try what kinda point is that 60 second shot clock for goal kicks seems legit though u gotta have some sense of urgency when ur trying to kick a penalty or conversion would be super frustrating if ur stuck on the field waiting cuz u messed up

I'm not sure about this new rule, it's a bit of a slippery slope 🤔... I mean, how can we trust that the video referee is making accurate calls in such high-pressure situations? It feels like they're trying to take away from the on-field referees' expertise and judgment. And what about all those times when the referee gets it right, but the video referee still disagrees? It's just a recipe for controversy and debate.

And don't even get me started on the shot clock 🕒... 60 seconds is pretty tight, especially for penalty kicks or conversions. What happens if the kicker messes up? Are they going to have to take their chances from where they messed up, rather than having another attempt? It's a bit of a gamble, if you ask me.

I think this new rule is trying to impose some sort of "faster, more efficient" mentality on the game 🏈... but at what cost? We need to make sure that the integrity and spirit of the game aren't compromised by these changes.
