Saudi Arabia Is Now the Principal Export Market for the Egyptian Film Industry, Report Says

I think its dope that Egyptian films are killing it in Saudi Arabia 🤩! I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a good Arabic movie with their friends over a cup of tea? But seriously, its awesome that our filmmakers are getting global recognition and making bank 💸. I'm not surprised, though - Egyptians love a good story, especially if its romantic or action-packed 😎. And hey, its great to see the Cairo Film Connection doing its thing, helping Arab filmmakers get their work out there 📽️. Its all about supporting local talent and keeping our culture alive 🔥!

I'm loving how Egyptian films are killing it in Saudi Arabia 🤩! It's crazy to think that some of our favorite movies are raking in millions abroad while struggling to break even domestically 😔. I mean, what's going on? Can't we support our own filmmakers and audiences back home? 🤷‍♂️ It's like they're being rewarded for making great content, but not getting the recognition or love from their own country 🙅‍♂️. Anyway, it's awesome to see Egyptian-Saudi coproductions doing well – more of those, please! 👍 And I'm excited to see what other talented filmmakers are coming through with new projects 💖

I'm not sure about all this Saudi obsession with Egyptian films 🤔. I mean, yes, it's great that they're supporting local filmmakers and all, but $22.9 million for a movie that only raked in $2.8 million domestically? That's like, what, 4x the domestic revenue? It just doesn't add up to me 🤑. And don't even get me started on how much money is being made off of these coproductions... it's getting out of control 💸. Meanwhile, back in Egypt, cinemas are still struggling to get back on their feet after the pandemic 😔. I hope they're not just relying too heavily on foreign sales and neglecting their own audience 🤷‍♀️.
