can't believe what I just saw. that dude was like a predator in church cloths ️ thought he could just use his position of power to screw over innocent boys but the doc shows us how he got caught and it's not pretty what's even crazier is that people who were supposed to be helping kids like those boys were actually covering for him and now there's all these questions about if they'll get held accountable ️ hope justice gets served soon, but I'm also kinda angry at everyone who knew and did nothing
I just finished watching that documentary and I'm still trying to process how someone can be so evil . It's like they're not even human anymore, you know? The fact that they managed to cover up their abuse for so long is just disgusting . And now the survivors are having to deal with all this trauma and pain, it's just heartbreaking . I'm also really frustrated with Justin Welby, he needs to do more to address this issue . It's not like these guys were victims of circumstance or anything, they're guilty as charged . The only good thing about that documentary is that it raises awareness and sparks conversation, maybe we can finally get some justice for these guys .
I'm still reeling from watching that documentary it's like you can feel the weight of what these guys went through Smyth's abuse is just mind-boggling, how someone could pose as a spiritual leader but use that position to hurt others so badly? And what really gets me is how his own family was affected by his actions, I mean, can't imagine living with the fear and dread that they did The fact that he managed to discredit the lawyer pursuing him and get away with it is just infuriating But at the same time, I'm hopeful that this documentary will spark some real change within institutions like the Church of England They need to take responsibility for their role in enabling Smyth's abuse and prioritize the safety and well-being of those in their care
