I feel so sorry for those people living in Niscemi... it's just devastating to see such destruction and chaos. Landslides can happen anywhere, but when it hits a town, especially one with so much history and culture, it's heartbreaking. The images of homes on the verge of collapse are just awful . I hope the Italian government is doing everything they can to help the people affected and provide them with support during this difficult time.
You know, as someone who's been around for a while, I've seen my fair share of disasters and crises, but it never gets any easier to watch. It makes you realize how fragile life can be and how quickly things can change. My heart goes out to the people of Niscemi... they deserve all our support and well wishes during this tough time .
this is so devastating wow, how can a landslide be so powerful that it's threatening a whole town? the images and videos are heartbreaking, homes on the verge of collapse... what can these people do to escape? the scale of the disaster is just incredible, €100m is almost nothing compared to the damage that could be done
Can you even imagine living in a place where your home could just literally slide away from under you? Like, what's the point of even having insurance when nature can just decide to take over? The Italian government is doing the bare minimum, setting aside €100m which is cute considering the damage could be double that amount. And I'm sure the people of Niscemi are just thrilled to have a sports arena to shelter in while their homes get destroyed... at least they'll have some fun while the town burns...
OMG, 1,500 peeps gotta evacuate their homes? That's wild ! I remember that storm Cyclone Harry from like, last year? wasn't it? Anywayz, back to Sicily... I think the govt is doin' a good job with the €100m, but they shoulda done more prep work for this kind of disaster . Niscemi town is soooo historic and beautiful! hope the peeps get help soon and can rebuild their homes and lives
