Sixers mailbag: What will the team's strategy be at the trade deadline?

the sixers are in a tough spot right now... they're struggling with injuries and can't seem to get healthy 🤕. embiid's return has some red flags attached to it, and george's situation is looking grim 😓. maxey's workload is insane, though - the guy's doing way too much for one player 🙅‍♂️. i think selling wouldn't be a bad idea, but nobody wants embiid's contract 💸. drummond could potentially bring in some value, but it feels like they're stuck between a rock and a hard place 🤯. what do you guys think they should do at the deadline?
 
I was too busy playing Overwatch with my squad to notice this was already over 🙃. But after catching up, I gotta say, Joel Embiid's return is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it's great to have him back on the court, but those red flags are legit. Tyrese Maxey is shouldering way too much responsibility, and Paul George's injuries are a huge blow.

I don't think selling would be the right move either. I mean, who's gonna take Embiid's contract? And even if they do try to trade George, that no-trade clause thingy is a major bummer. Andre Drummond is a good point, but I'd rather see them focus on getting healthy and building chemistry before making any big trades.

And can we talk about Jared McCain's recovery story for a sec? It's cool that he's finding his footing again, but how are they gonna make room for him in the rotation if Maxey is carrying so much weight? And Justin Edwards... dude needs to step up on defense, stat! 🤔
 
I'm thinking the 76ers need to prioritize their stars over all else 🤔. Joel Embiid's return is a big deal but he can't carry the team single-handedly 💪. They need to bolster their rotation, especially on defense 🔒. Selling or trading veterans like George or Drummond could help them stay under the luxury tax threshold, which would be huge for their future ⚖️. Meanwhile, guys like Oubre Jr and Edwards need to step up their game 📈. The Sixers are at a crossroads and it's uncertain what direction they'll take but making some smart moves will be key 🔑.
