SNAP update: 1.7M people to be banned from benefits under GOP proposal

I just don't get why politicians have to make things so complicated 🤯. Can't we just find ways to help people in need without singling out specific groups? I've got family members who work hard every day and then worry about their elderly mom or siblings who are struggling to make ends meet. The thought of them not being able to access basic benefits like food assistance is heartbreaking 🥱.

I also don't think it's fair to say that non-citizens are just "taking advantage" of the system, especially when they're contributing through taxes and hard work. My friend's husband is a restaurant owner who hires people from all over the world, and he swears those immigrants bring in more customers than they take out 😊.

It seems like we need to focus on finding real solutions to our problems rather than just trying to punish certain groups for being different 🤷‍♀️. Can't we find a way to make everyone feel welcome and supported? 🌎
