'So unchanged it is almost otherworldly': the oasis town of Skoura, Morocco

omg i know exactly what u mean about skoura! ive been there too 🤩 its like the ultimate chill destination. i love how the locals are still super connected to nature & their traditions. those kasbahs though?! so cool 🏰🕊️ i was thinking it's really refreshing to have a place where you can just slow down & appreciate the little things. like, no wifi or anything? haha my phone battery almost died from all the instagramming 😂 anyway, skoura is def on my bucket list now. anyone else been there? 🤗

Skoura's tranquil vibe is just what we need more of in our chaotic world 🌪️💔 Skoura's population of 3,000 people seems like a breath of fresh air compared to the crowded cities we're used to. It's awesome that they've managed to preserve their ancient traditions and agricultural methods, but at the same time, it's sad that trade routes shifted and the town lost its importance 🤕

I love how the farmers are still using traditional techniques passed down through generations, but I also worry about the impact of climate change on their crops 🌡️ The fact that Skoura is relatively off the beaten path is a bit of a bummer, considering we're already dealing with so much congestion and pollution in our lives 😩 Still, it's nice to know there are places like Skoura where time seems to stand still 🕰️

🌵 just got back from morocco and i'm still reeling from my experience in skoura 🤯 the way the locals live in harmony with nature is truly inspiring 🌱 it's all about slowing down and appreciating the beauty in everyday moments, you know? 💆‍♀️ and those kasbahs?! 💫 got so lost in the narrow corridors and ornate furnishings, felt like i was transported to another world 😴 anyway, if you're looking for a tranquil retreat from city life, skoura is def worth checking out 🌞 just be prepared to slow down and take it all in! 😊

I dont get why ppl need 4 so much backstory n history 🤷‍♂️ Skoura sounds like a chill town but its not exactly earthshattering. I mean, it's got some old kasbahs n date palms what's new? 🌴 I'd rather visit somewhere w/ more energy n nightlife 😎

🌴 Skoura's off-the-beaten-path vibe is kinda appealing, but let's be real, it's not exactly a top-secret destination for those who want to experience Morocco's "real" culture 🤷‍♀️. Like, if you're looking for authentic kasbahs and ancient history, you can find them in other places too, you know?

The farmers' skills are definitely on point, though! I mean, who needs fancy technology when you've got hands-on expertise and a connection to the land? 🌾 And yeah, Skoura's dates are supposed to be top-notch... we'll see about that 😏.

skoura sounds like an amazing place 🌳❤️ i mean, who wouldn't want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and connect with nature? 😴 but what's it like living there for so long? do they ever get bored or restless? 🤔 also, how do the locals feel about tourists taking over their town? are they welcoming or protective of their way of life? 💬
