idk man, I'm all for embracing Spotify Wrapped as a fun way to reflect on my musical tastes
. but at the same time... isn't it kinda weird that we're relying on algorithms to tell us what's good? like, don't get me wrong, those personalized playlists can be super helpful in discovering new music, but are we really putting our trust in some faceless tech giant to define our musical identity?
and what's wrong with just using Wrapped as a starting point and then curating my own year-end list
. it's all about balance, right? I mean, I love how Spotify Wrapped gives me a sense of closure and nostalgia at the end of the year, but at the same time... shouldn't we be using our own judgment to decide what music means something to us?
ugh, I don't know, maybe I'm just being too cynical
. what's your take on it?
