I'm so worried about this study ... I mean, imagine if the water we drink in school has high levels of lithium! What if our teachers and staff have high levels too? We don't know what's safe and what's not yet . And think about all the kids who already have ASD or are diagnosed with it - do they deserve to take more risks because of something that might be outside their control? I wish we had more research done on this, like Dr. Ritz said, so we can make sure our schools and communities are safe for everyone .
Wow this study is pretty interesting... I mean, 46% increase in autism risk due to tap water lithium exposure is a big deal! But experts are right, we need more research before drawing conclusions... like, what's the safe limit for lithium levels in drinking water? And how do we know if it's just a Danish thing or something global?
idk why people always need to point fingers at one thing being the cause of something else... like ASD or whatever can't we just keep exploring all the possible factors? and yeah lithium in tap water, that's a thing now i'm not saying it's definitely bad for kids but more research is def needed. what if its not just lithium tho? what if its something else entirely? gotta consider all possibilities
I'm low-key shocked that tap water lithium exposure might be linked to autism. Like, who knew? I mean, I've been drinking it my whole life and was pretty sure I'd turn into a genius like Elon Musk by now... Nope, apparently not. Anyway, it's cool that the experts are saying we need more research, but can we please get to the bottom of this ASAP? My kid is literally at age 2 and I'm over here stressing about what might be causing their future ADHD
This study is kinda weird , I mean it's not saying the tap water is definitely causing autism, but still 46% higher risk? That's like getting a tattoo of a rainbow on your arm just 'cause you drank some water . And what about all those other environmental things that can cause ASD? Shouldn't they be looking into that too? I don't know, maybe I'm just not smart enough to understand the science-y stuff , but it seems like we're still a ways off from figuring out if lithium in tap water is really that big of a deal . Can we get some more research done on this before we start worrying about our drinking water?
