Study finds slightly higher risk of autism diagnosis in areas with more lithium in drinking water, but experts say more research is needed | CNN

🤔 just read about this study on lithium levels in tap water and autism diagnosis risk...not sure what to make of it tbh 🤷‍♀️ they found a link but not conclusive lol like is it the lilith or what's really goin on? 💁‍♀️ gotta agree with dr. ritz that we need more research tho 📊💡 [link to study](https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapediatrics/fullarticle/2804138)

🤔💧 so what does this even mean?! they're saying that if u live in a place with high lithium levels in ur tap water, maybe u have kids w autism? but like, how much lilium is safe to be around?! 24-26% more risk of ASD diagnosis is kinda scary tho... but at the same time, some ppl say it's good for mental health? 🤷‍♀️ anyways, i think we need more research on this stuff. can't just assume one thing causes another! 🧠💡

🤔 I'm not surprised by this study, you know? My grandkids have autism and I've been worried about their environment for ages... I mean, we're always being told about the dangers of pollution and pesticides, so it's weird that nobody's made that link before. Anyway, I think we need to be cautious here. We can't just assume lithium is the cause of autism, but at the same time, if there's a connection, we should definitely investigate further. My son lives in a big city and I'm always nagging him to use filtered water... maybe it was for nothing? 🤷‍♂️
