just heard about George Atkinson II passing away at 78 that's crazy he was such an iconic part of those legendary Raiders teams back in the day it's sad to hear he went through some tough times with his twin sons after they passed away and now the whole NFL community is paying tribute to him he was more than just a football player, he was a true legend on and off the field
I'm so surprised they're actually giving him the praise he deserves . I mean, all those years of playing for the Raiders, what about when he was a coach or a consultant? Wasn't he just as much of an expert then? I bet his twin sons with CTE didn't have any issues because they were color analysts . The whole thing is just too convenient. He's getting all this love from the Raiders and the NFL, but what about when it's not convenient for them to talk about him?
just reading about george atkinson II's passing is like going back in time remembering those dominant oakland raiders teams under john madden... i was only a kid when that era started playing football with my dad who's also a huge raiders fan but the soul patrol secondary always fascinated me... how did george atkinson II and other players like him become such legends? and it's so sad to hear about his twin sons struggling with cte... poor guy
Sorry to hear about George Atkinson II's passing . I'm sure it's sad news for all Raiders fans out there... 78 is old for a football player, right? But what really gets me is that his later life was affected by CTE, it's just so heartbreaking . I mean, he gave so much to the game and then struggles with that stuff. And all those twin sons he had, it's just... *sigh*. RIP George II, you're definitely a legend in my books , but what's even more important is the impact his family is having to deal with this .
just heard about George Atkinson II's passing at 78... that's crazy! I mean, two-time All-Star and part of those iconic Raiders teams under Madden... what a legend! He was more than just a player, his twin sons struggling with CTE is heartbreaking . The Raiders organization did the right thing releasing a statement about him being a life-long Raider, it's clear he was all in on that team . Fans will always remember his toughness and dedication to the game... what a legacy!
