Supreme Court Raises Question on Illinois National Guard Deployment

omg i cant believe trump is still trying to deploy national guard troops in illinois lol but seriously its getting so messy like what even is the definition of regular forces? how does congress define it? and what exactly are they gonna do with all these troops? im just worried that things are gonna escalate and we'll end up with a huge mess i hope the supreme court can figure this out soon coz right now its getting super confusing

I'm like totally confused about this whole situation . I mean, can't we just have a civil conversation about crime rates in Chicago? Why do we need to involve the military? It's not like they're going to solve the problem with their guns and tanks . I think the city officials are right on this one - we shouldn't be escalating tensions by deploying troops without really addressing the root causes of the issues. And what about the National Guard members who get deployed? They deserve better than to be used as cannon fodder in some politician's power struggle . The Supreme Court should focus on finding a solution that benefits everyone, not just the President's ego .

I'm SO concerned about this whole situation ... I mean, President Trump wants to deploy National Guard troops to certain cities, but the states are all like "no way" and that's totally fair imo. It makes sense that they wouldn't want some federal troops showing up and basically taking over their law enforcement . And what really gets my goat is that the White House is just using this as a way to try and crack down on crime, but it's not like it's going to solve anything . The Supreme Court needs to get to the bottom of this and figure out where the actual limits are because right now it feels like they're just letting the President do whatever he wants . This whole thing is just so frustrating !

I was just thinking about how much I love trying out new restaurants in my area . I mean, have you guys tried that new Korean BBQ place downtown? Oh man, their kimchi fries are insane ! Anyway, back to politics... I don't know if I'm totally down with the idea of deploying National Guard troops to cities like Chicago. I get what Trump is saying about crime rates and all, but at the same time, you gotta think about the impact it has on local law enforcement and community relationships . And can we talk about how confusing the whole "regular forces" thing is? Like, who defines that exactly?
