The small town of West Point, near the Alabama border, has been shaken by a series of tragic shootings that left six people dead and one child among them. Authorities confirmed that multiple innocent lives were lost due to violence in Cedarbluff, a rural community west of the county seat.

According to Sheriff Eddie Scott, the victims – family members related to 24-year-old Daricka M. Moore – were shot at three separate locations late on Friday evening. One of the victims was just seven years old. The sheriff's response, 'I don't know what kind of motive you could have to kill a 7-year-old,' has left many questioning the suspect's actions.

Moore is currently in custody and faces a first-degree murder charge that could be upgraded to capital murder, with additional murder charges also possible. The community can breathe a sigh of relief as Sheriff Scott assured that there was no threat posed by the suspect.
