Taylor Swift, ‘Ordinary’ and The Wiggles: Here’s What Australians Stanned on Spotify In 2025

Taylor Swift's reign as Australia's most-streamed artist continues, with her latest album "The Life of a Showgirl" topping the national ARIA Chart and breaking records on Spotify. The singer-songwriter has now led the top 5 artists list for Australia three years in a row, beating out international stars like Drake and Billie Eilish.

Swift's dominance in Australia is no surprise, given her massive following and chart-topping albums. Her latest record-breaking album spent its entire first week at No.1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, sweeping the top 12 spots and earning her a reputation as one of the most successful artists in Australian music history.

But Swift isn't the only Australian artist making waves on Spotify this year. The Wiggles, a beloved children's entertainment group, topped the list of homegrown artists, with their album "KPop Demon Hunters" being the most-streamed local release of 2025. Meanwhile, AC/DC continues to rock out, sweeping the top three spots in Top Throwback Songs.

The most streamed song on Australian Spotify accounts this year was surprisingly not by a household name like Taylor Swift or The Wiggles, but by Alex Warren's "Ordinary". Other popular Aussie artists include Gracie Abram and Billie Eilish, who finished third on the list. On the album side, AC/DC's POWER UP tour is currently rocking stadiums around Australia.

Despite having a population of only 25 million, half of Australians are said to be streaming music on Spotify every month, making it one of the country's most popular music platforms. And with streaming giant Bad Bunny dominating Spotify's year-end Wrapped results, Australia may have been overshadowed by global stars, but domestic artists are still making their mark.

In a surprise move, Tame Impala earned a spot on the list of Top Local Artists for 2025, while RÜFÜS DU SOL and Royel Otis made their debuts on the local artist leaderboard. Sia and Dom Dolla also joined the ranks, marking them as rising stars in Australian music.

The full results of Spotify's Wrapped Australia are available to check out, offering a glimpse into what made music popular among Australians this year.

I'm so hyped for Taylor Swift, she's killing it over here! 🤩 I mean, three years in a row topping the top 5 artists list? That's some serious dedication and hard work. And can we talk about The Wiggles' comeback? They're bringing the noise with their KPop Demon Hunters album 🎵👏 It's so great to see Aussie artists making waves on Spotify, it just goes to show that homegrown talent is always worth celebrating. AC/DC rocking out and Tame Impala getting a spot on the list too... 2025 is shaping up to be an amazing year for music! 🎉👍

omg i cant even believe The Wiggles are back on top 🤣 theyve been around for ages but their album "KPop Demon Hunters" is literally the most surprising thing i saw all year what happened to just singing nursery rhymes and watching kids watch them lol anyway back to Taylor Swift, shes like a global superstar now 🌎 her music has no chill itll play in your head 24/7 and i kinda love that about it

Ugh 🙄 I'm so over how Spotify always puts international artists first 🌎👀 Like, don't get me wrong, Drake and Billie Eilish are great and all, but can't they just give some Aussie love? 🤗 It's not like we're short on talented artists. And another thing, why do they still have to use those boring, generic category names for their local releases 🎵👀 Instead of just using "Aussie Artists" or something, it feels so forced and corporate 💸

I was surprised to see The Wiggles on that list 🤔🎸, I remember listening to their songs with my kids when they were young and now their kids are grown up and loving them too! It's amazing how nostalgic music can be 😊. But what's really cool is that there's so much Aussie talent out there right now - from Taylor Swift to The Wiggles, it just goes to show that you don't have to be a big star to make waves in the music scene 🌟.

😒 like, no surprise that Taylor Swift is still killing it in Aus... I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned pop princess? 🙃 But, gotta give it up to The Wiggles for bringing some retro vibes to the game! Who knew they had so many skills hiding under those colorful wigs? 🤣 And, on a more serious note, Australia's got an amazing music scene and I love how Spotify is giving shoutouts to our local faves. It's about time we saw some Aussie artists getting their due recognition! 💪

I'm tellin' ya, it's crazy how music has changed over the years... I mean, back in my day we didn't even have Spotify! 🙄 But for real though, it's awesome to see Aussie artists killin' it on the charts. Taylor Swift is a total legend and The Wiggles are still bringin' the nostalgia vibes 🎉. AC/DC is still rockin' like it was back in the 80s 🔥. And I love that Sia and Dom Dolla are makin' waves – they're keepin' Aussie music fresh! 🌟 But, what's with this Spotify Wrapped thing? Is it like a music yearbook or somethin'? 📚 Anyway, can't wait to see who else is gonna make the cut next year... maybe some new faces will emerge? 🤔

🤩 I'm not surprised that Taylor Swift is killing it on Spotify Down Under! She's always been a fan fave and her music just connects with Aussies. But it's awesome to see The Wiggles making waves too, their kids' tunes are classics and it's great they're still rocking 40+ years later 🎸👏 And can we talk about AC/DC? They're legends! It's crazy how many Aussie artists are doing well on Spotify - it just goes to show the platform is pretty inclusive for local talent. Love that Tame Impala and RÜFÜS DU SOL made it onto the list, they're both awesome in their own ways 😊

just wondering how much more streaming is gonna affect our culture 🤔🎶. i mean, taylor swift is killing it over here and all, but at the same time i'm kinda sad we're so dependent on these platforms for our music vibes 🎧😒. anyways, glad to see some aussie artists making waves 💥🇦🇺

But what's really cool is that Aussies are gettin' behind some amazing local talent like Tame Impala and RÜFÜS DU SOL - it's all about supportin' the home team 🇦🇺! 🎶

🎵 Taylor Swift is on fire rn 🤩! Three years in a row she's taking over the top 5 artists list in Australia, and her latest album "The Life of a Showgirl" just broke records on Spotify 📈💥 It's no surprise though, given how massive her following is. The Wiggles are also killing it with their kids' entertainment vibes, topping the homegrown artist chart 👶🏼🎵 And AC/DC is still rocking out in stadiums around Australia 🤟♂️

I'm loving how Aussie artists are finally getting some recognition on global stages 🤩. Taylor Swift's reign is impressive, but it's awesome to see The Wiggles making waves with their KPop Demon Hunters album 💥! AC/DC's POWER UP tour is still going strong and their throwback songs are always a hit 🎸.

I think the fact that half of Aussies are streaming music on Spotify every month is crazy 😲. It just goes to show how much music plays a huge role in our lives, and we're lucky to have such an amazing music scene here 🌟. I'm also excited to see Tame Impala, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Royel Otis making it big – the Aussie music scene is looking bright for 2026 🔥!
