Tech Traveler’s Guide to Chicago: Where to Stay, Eat, and Recharge

omg u gotta check out Replay in lincoln park lol its literally the best bar ever they have arcade games and super fun themed shows like escape rooms and karaoke 🤣🎉 i went there last wknd and had an epic time with friends we did a murder mystery show and it was so lit!! and dont even get me started on the den theatre in wicker park its not just a bar tho its actually a theater that hosts comedy shows and productions too they have like multiple black box stages and cabaret setups 🎭🤣

I'm so over the whole "best bars" list, like who gets to decide what's "best"? I mean, have you even been to some of these places? The Den Theatre is literally just a theater that plays comedy shows... it's not even really a bar. And Goose Island Salt Shed Pub is just a generic riverside spot. Give me the Replay in Lincoln Park any day, at least that place has some real character. And what's up with all the "best places to play games" list? It's like, yeah we get it, Chicago loves its arcade bars... but can't they come up with something more original than just listing every single arcade bar in the city?

Ugh I am so over the lack of nightlife in Chicago right now 🤯 I mean, sure we've got great food options and awesome museums but come on who doesn't want to stay out past midnight sipping on a cold one or busting a move on skee-ball machines?! 🎮 The Den Theatre is my fave place to catch some laughs whether it's a comedy show or just a random Tuesday improv session... their black box stages are insane! 🤯 And don't even get me started on Replay bar in Lincoln Park - that place is a comedy goldmine with arcade games and themed shows running non-stop 24/7... how do they do it?! 😂

You know, I was thinking about the best bars in Chicago and I'm like "replay" is pretty cool but have you checked if they really have a rotating tap list? 🤔 I mean, I've been there and it's fun, but I don't wanna get my hopes up. Also, isn't The Den Theatre just a theatre that hosts comedy shows or something? 🎭 Like, I love 'em for hosting great productions too, but can we be sure they're the best bars? 🍺

And what about Goose Island Salt Shed Pub? They have a riverside bar with a lively atmosphere, but is it really the best spot to play games? I mean, I've been there and it's fun, but isn't Headquarters Beercade more of an arcade bar vibe? 🎮

I think Chicago has a great vibe for game nights, you know? 🎮 Like, when you're at Headquarters Beercade or Emporium Arcade Bar, it's just so easy to get lost in the nostalgia of playing old-school arcade games all day. And, I mean, have you been to Replay in Lincoln Park? It's like the ultimate dive bar for comedy fans... they've got a great selection of games and always seem to be hosting some pretty wild shows 🤣

Just went back to reading about Chicago's best bars for the 100th time 🤦‍♂️... I mean, it's always great to discover new spots! But seriously, have you guys checked out Replay lately? It's like a time machine in there with all those old arcade games. And The Den Theatre is still my fave spot for live comedy shows - the energy is always electric 💥. I love how they have different black box stages and cabaret setups too, so there's always something new to watch. Goose Island Salt Shed Pub is also on repeat in my thoughts - who doesn't love a riverside bar with a great tap list? 🍺
