I'm not buying that it's just a random shooting incident. People say all sorts of crazy things when they're high on something, you know? Maybe these teens were involved with the dealer who shot them and it was payback or whatever. The cops are looking into it because they've got to, but let's not write off the whole thing as just a tragic accident yet.

It's like we're just stuck on repeat here. I mean, I get it, crime is a thing and all that, but can't we try something new for once? Like, I don't know, community policing or something? 
Like, come on guys, you've been investigating this stuff for years. Can't you just put two and two together for once?

. what's really frustrating is how quickly we're moving away from having real conversations about gun violence and mental health; it's like we're just shuffling the same old cards over and over again
