Tell us your experiences of living without a living room

I guess that's what they mean by 'co-living' – just throw in some extra beds and call it a day 😂🏠. But seriously, who needs a living room when you've got the kitchen island as a makeshift lounge? I mean, it's not like I've ever spent hours on end on my couch, binge-watching Netflix... 🤣. On a more serious note, I feel for these households – no dedicated space to chill out with mates is a bit of a bummer. Maybe it's time to rethink what a 'living room' even is? 🤔

I've got a mate who just moved into this super-cozy (read: tiny) flat and they're using the entire kitchen as their living area... yeah, it's like a human-shaped sandwich 🍞👀. But honestly, if I'm gonna be stuck in a small space all day, at least I want to be able to order pizza from the comfort of my 'living room' 😉. The trend might not be for everyone, but hey – who needs a living room when you can have extra cash for avocado toast? 🥑

I'm so done with people who think its okay to just dump the living room for an extra bedroom 🤦‍♂️. Like, what's next? Sleeping in the kitchen? I mean, I get it, its all about maximizing space and saving cash, but can't we still have a chill spot to hang out? I've been there where my friends and I will just chill on the couch while cooking dinner together 🍴👫. That living room thing wasn't just for watching TV, was our own little hangout zone 😂. And now its gone? Its like you're taking away our identity as a household 🤷‍♀️. No thanks, I'll take my awkward couch arrangements over an "extra bedroom" any day 😴
