I'm not sure I'm sold on this whole "album" thing 🤔. With all the streaming services out there, it feels like people are just getting away from listening to actual records, you know? And don't even get me started on how "discoverable" your average artist is nowadays - it's all about creating a viral soundbyte, not actually making music with heart and soul 🎵.

And what's up with the trend of breakup albums? It's like everyone's just trying to cash in on our collective misery 💔. I mean, sure, some of them might be good, but it's always gonna feel shallow to me when someone's profiting off other people's pain 😕.

Give me a good old-fashioned vinyl any day - there's something tangible about holding that album cover in your hands and feeling the weight of the music 🛍️.

man I'm still reeling from all the amazing albums that dropped this year 🤯. for me, it's gotta be "Echoes in the Attic" by Jim Legxacy - his raw emotion and storytelling are just on another level 💔. but i also got so much love for Jennifer Walton and the Tubs' "Whispers in the Dark" - it's like they're speaking straight to your soul 🌙.

and can we talk about Rosalía's breakup album? girl, that woman is a genius 🤩. her music always speaks truth to power, but this year she took it to a whole new level. i'm also loving the Britpop revival - Pulp and Suede are back and better than ever 🎸.

but what really gets me is how all these albums capture the essence of our generation's experiences - heartbreak, loss, self-discovery... we're living through some heavy stuff right now 💔.

I'm low-key obsessed with Jim Legxacy's latest album 🤯! The way he blends British rap with soulful beats is absolute perfection. I was on the edge of my seat when I first listened to it. But, if I'm being real, Cate Le Bon's breakup album really spoke to me this year. Her songwriting is so raw and honest, it's like she's singing directly to your soul 🌪️. And, can we talk about Rosalía's album for a sec? Her music has always been incredible, but this one... ugh, it's just on another level 💖. I've listened to it like 10 times already and still can't get enough of it 😂.

omg i'm late as always lol, but that thread is already dead so dont mind me 😂 anyway, i was literally obsessed with this one album by a artist called "solar" their whole discography is fire but the latest one dropped in january and its like they tapped into my soul 🌞🎶 i think its because its all about nostalgia and growing up. anyone else listened to that?

Also, Olivia Dean's new album is everything and more, it's like a ray of sunshine in a world that needs it 🌞. What about you guys, who are your go-to artists for when you're feeling down?

Man, I'm still listening to last year's releases on repeat 🎶. Like, have you heard "Lost in Translation" by John Glacier? It's so raw and emotional, it gave me chills every time 😭. And can we talk about Rosalía's breakup album for a sec? I was like totally there with her vibes on that one 💔. But, you know what's weird? I saw an ad for Pulp's reunion tour the other day and I'm like... "Wait, isn't this 2025? Didn't they retire from music ages ago?" 🤣 Anyway, gotta share my fave album of 2025 tho - it's got to be that underrated indie-rock gem by CMAT 🎸.

🎶 I'm so stoked about all the incredible albums that dropped this year! For me, it's gotta be Blood Orange's 'Heart of Stone' - it's like David Lynch wrote a songbook and then handed them over to James Blake for vocals 🤯. And can we talk about Rosalía's 'Eternity' for a sec? She's not only an amazing artist but also a superhuman storyteller, weaving tales that transport you to another world 🌎.

And I'm loving the Britpop revival vibes too! Olivia Dean's debut album is everything and more - it's like she bottled up all the '90s indie spirit and turned it into pure pop gold 💃. My fave song of the year has gotta be 'Lost in the Haze' from her album... it's just so hauntingly beautiful 😍.
