The Ashes 2025 coverage guide: How to watch video highlights and follow radio and live updates

The upcoming Ashes series between England and Australia will be extensively covered by the BBC, with fans able to watch live video highlights, listen to ball-by-ball commentary on radio, and follow in-depth analysis on social media.

A comprehensive schedule has been released for the five-Test series, which will take place across three venues in Australia from November 21 to January 7. The first Test is set to be played in Perth, while the final match will be held in Sydney.

Fans can tune into the BBC Sport website and app for live text updates, including commentary on every day's play. Analysis and reports will also be provided shortly after stumps. McGrath, Agnew, and Steven Finn will contribute columns that break down key moments from each Test.

In addition to online coverage, there will be special podcasts from the Test Match Special team. The Tailenders podcast will feature England spin bowler James Anderson, while Ashes legends Stuart Broad and Jos Buttler will share their thoughts on For the Love of Cricket.

To stay up-to-date with all the action, fans can also join the BBC Cricket Instagram account, follow TMS on X and Facebook, and tune into the BBC Cricket WhatsApp channel.

I'm super stoked for the Ashes series this year! The BBC is doing an amazing job of getting us all prepared for the matches with all these awesome tools - can't wait to watch live highlights and get my daily dose of commentary on the radio 📻🔥 I've been following James Anderson's career for ages, so his podcast is gonna be a must-listen, fingers crossed he doesn't get out bowled by Aussie legends 😅

The Ashes series is gonna be a huge event! 🏏 I think it's great that the BBC is covering every aspect of the tournament, from live video highlights to in-depth analysis. It'll be awesome to see James Anderson on The Tailenders podcast – his expertise as an England spinner will be super insightful.

I'm also loving the fact that there are multiple channels to stay updated, like Instagram and WhatsApp, for those who prefer a more casual feed of updates. It's really cool how fans can now follow their favorite teams and players in real-time.

For cricket enthusiasts, this is like, the ultimate event – the rivalry between England and Australia is always so intense! 🤯 I'm excited to see which team comes out on top this time around. What are your predictions? 🎉

Oh great, another cricket series to get everyone's pants in a twist 🤦‍♂️. I mean, who doesn't love watching 5-hour long tests that'll put you right to sleep? The BBC is basically covering this like it's the next big thing, though. Live video highlights and ball-by-ball commentary? How original, mate. Can't wait for those epic podcasts where the same old guys will just argue with each other about who's more iconic 🙄. And of course, because we all need a dose of cricket analysis on our Instagram feeds, they've got that too...

I'm so down for this Ashes series... I mean, not really 🤔. Like, who needs that much coverage? It's just cricket, right? 🏏 But at the same time, I love watching those guys play... ugh, why do I always feel guilty about hating too much sports coverage? 😒 And what's up with all the podcasts and social media? Can't I just watch a simple match on my phone without having to sift through all that extra info? 📱👀 On the other hand, it's great that we have so many options now... hmm, why am I getting confused again? 😕

Yaaas, I'm so hyped for the Ashes series! 🤩 It's gonna be a wild ride with two of cricket's biggest rivals going head-to-head. I love how the BBC is giving fans all sorts of options to follow along - live video highlights, radio commentary, social media analysis... it's like they're trying to make sure everyone feels part of the action! 💥 And can we talk about the podcasts? James Anderson sharing his insights on The Tailenders? Stuart Broad and Jos Buttler dishing out their expertise on For the Love of Cricket? It's gonna be a treat for cricket fans everywhere! 🎙️ Can't wait to catch all the games and hear what the experts have to say. Let's get ready for some intense cricket action! 🔥

"I think it's great that fans in England are missing out on this Ashes series... just kidding 😂! Seriously though, having multiple platforms to catch all the action is gonna be a lifesaver for those who can't make it to the matches 🤩. The BBC always knows how to bring the excitement to the cricket fans, and I'm sure this series won't disappoint 💥"
