The best music books of 2025

Spotify's control over the music scene is getting outta hand 🤯. I mean, artists are basically being told what kind of sound to make next, like they're on a formula to follow, not creating from the heart. That's so not cool, fam! 😒

And yeah, I get it, alternatives might be hard to come by, but that doesn't mean we should just accept this blandness 💔. We need more people speaking out about these issues and advocating for real change.

These books tho... 📚 "Men of a Certain Age" is like a breath of fresh air - so funny and insightful! And the other ones are amazing too, giving us a deeper look into the lives of these artists. It's time to put the spotlight on the music itself, not just what Spotify wants us to listen to 🔥.

I mean, we gotta keep pushing for diversity and artistic integrity in this industry 🎶. We can't let corporations dictate our tastes and stifle creativity. That's just not right 😡.

🎵😒 Spotify's algorithm is like that one aunt who always plays the same songs at family gatherings 🎶🙄 They just want to make money 💸 but art should be about expressing yourself not conforming to their expectations 🤪💔

i'm kinda worried about spotify's grip on music 🤔... like, what happens when artists can't even release new music without getting squeezed by the algorithm? doesn't that stifle creativity? & i feel bad for those who get pushed to churn out formulaic content just to fit in...

on a more positive note tho 📚, have you guys read "men of a certain age"? kate mossman's writing is so witty & insightful! 💡 i also love how jeff pearlman's "only god can judge me" offers a nuanced look at tupac's life... it's like, we've been fed these myths about him for years, but what really went on? 🤷‍♂️

anyway, back to spotify... do you think there's any hope for new music to break through the algorithm? or are we just doomed to listen to the same old stuff forever? 😒🎵
