just listened to passenger's new album "One for the Road" it's so cool that some tracks aren't even part of the show itself! i love how they're sharing more music inspired by rachel joyce's story with fans... it's like an extension of the book and musical experience. can't wait to see the west end production in january what do u guys think of passenger's new sound? is it more folk-y or poppy?
I'm loving the idea of a musical adaptation, but you know who's been trying to do something similar in the entertainment industry for years? The arts are always getting funding, but when it comes to supporting new artists, it seems like the system is rigged . I mean, Passenger gets to collaborate with Chichester Festival theatre and they get an album deal – what about all the up-and-coming musicians who can't even get a break? It's all about who you know in this industry, right? But hey, at least we're getting some new music out of it, so that's something to celebrate! I just wish more people could be like Harold Fry – embarking on an extraordinary journey with purpose and passion .
Just saw the craziest news ! So, Rachel Joyce's book about that road trip is being turned into a musical ! And guess what? Passenger is doing the music & lyrics for it at Chichester Festival theatre. I'm low-key excited to see how they're gonna bring Harold Fry's story to life in this fresh way! The fact that some tracks on the album aren't even part of the show, but fans can still stream them and get more music vibes from Joyce's book... genius ! Can't wait to check out Passenger's unique style & explore more musical adventures inspired by this amazing tale
I don’t usually comment but... I just love that some tracks on Passenger's album "One for the Road" aren't even part of the show! Like, isn't that cool? It sounds like they wanted to let fans get even more into the world of Harold Fry, and now we get these extra special versions with guest appearances. And can you imagine listening to a song about the road trip while just chillin' at home? I've been meaning to check out Passenger's music anyway, and this sounds like a great way in. And the fact that the musical combines folk, pop, and contemporary sounds is pretty awesome - I love how they're pushing boundaries with it! The idea of an unlikely pilgrimage just got me thinking about all the random adventures people take on in life...
