The Morning After: Apple might be making its own AirTag-sized AI wearable

Apple is reportedly working on a new AI-powered wearable device that resembles an AirTag with cameras and microphones, but lacks any real interest from this writer. The device would feature two cameras for photos and video, three microphones, and a physical button - a feature I can get behind.

However, it's hard to see how Apple would pitch such a product without alienating consumers. A tiny listening device with cameras raises more questions than answers, especially when its own Watch and AirPods could already deliver many of the rumored features.

According to reports, the wearable AI pin is still in its early stages, and it may be canceled altogether. That's not unusual for Apple projects, which often start as ambitious but ultimately fall by the wayside.

What does seem less likely is that a group of non-Chinese investors will own 80% of this device, with ByteDance's US entity taking 15%. The deal was finalized just before a Trump administration deadline to ban TikTok in the US unless it was divested from ByteDance.

Bungie has announced its long-awaited game Marathon, which is set to arrive on March 5. The 3v3 extraction shooter has been delayed several times since its initial September 2025 release date. Bungie's parent company Sony wants another hit like Helldivers 2, not a disappointing game like Destiny 2.

For gamers looking to upgrade their graphics cards this year, the window for doing so at typical retail prices has closed. If your current GPU is outdated and can't run games you want to play, consider buying one with more VRAM, then read on for tips and recommendations.

idk why people would get all hyped about another apple "innovation" lol like what's so special about a tiny wearable device with cameras and mics? i mean, they could just put that tech in their existing watch or airpods already... and now its like 80% owned by chinese investors?? red flag if you ask me 🚨💸

I'm not really feeling the hype around Apple's new wearable device thingy... like what's the point of having a tiny camera and mic on your wrist? You've got your Watch and AirPods already, so I don't see why you'd need this little gadget 🤔. And can we talk about how weird it is that a bunch of non-Chinese investors are gonna own 80% of this thing? Like, what's up with that? 🤑

omg i just dont get why ppl would wanna wear a tiny camera device all the time lol but hey to each their own! its actually kinda cool that bungie is finally releasing marathon tho been waiting for ages! btw if ur gpu is outdated like me u shd totes consider upgrading soon cos retail prices are already sky high

idk about this new apple thing, sounds like a lot of unnecessary features if u ask me 🤔 i mean 2 cameras and 3 mics? not sure how that's gonna improve the user experience... plus it's just another product to clutter our lives 📦. what really gets me is the whole byte dance deal tho 🤑 who needs a foreign company owning 80% of an american tech device anyway? and don't even get me started on bungie's marathon game, been waiting for this since sept 2025 and it's still delayed 🤯 maybe they should just stick to making helldivers 2 instead? 😂

I gotta say, I'm not sure why Apple would bother with this new wearable thingy... it sounds like a bunch of features that we already get from their other devices 🤷‍♂️. And don't even get me started on the cameras and microphones - I mean, can you really see how that's gonna make our lives better? 😴 But hey, at least they're trying new things, right? 💻

idk about this new AI wearable from apple lol, seems like they're trying to reinvent the wheel 🔄... i mean, who needs cameras & microphones on a tiny device? my watch can do that already 🤦‍♂️ plus, wouldn't that just be another thing for them to track our every move? anywayz, if it happens, might as well let ByteDance take over since they're already the cool kids with TikTok 📸👀. on a more positive note, can't wait for marathon game, been waiting for ages! 👾💥

you know what really gets me thinking about these new wearables? how much are we willing to sacrifice our autonomy in the name of convenience... i mean, who needs two cameras and three microphones on a tiny device that's just going to be stuck on your wrist? it's like, do we really need that level of surveillance in our daily lives? and what's with all these deals between big corporations? it feels like we're just watching the corporate game unfold before our eyes...

You know what's crazy? I was at the beach last weekend and saw a guy riding this tiny jet ski thingy 🚴‍♂️. It was like something out of a sci-fi movie! Anyway, back to Apple... or should I say, lack thereof? 😅 I mean, who needs more cameras and microphones on a wearable device? Is it really worth it just for the sake of innovation? Not me, that's for sure. I'd rather stick with my AirTag 📦 and leave the fancy features to someone else.

I'm just not feeling this new Apple wearable thingy 🤔... like, what's the point? I've got my Watch and AirPods, they already do a lot of what this device is supposed to do. And adding cameras and microphones just seems like too much for me. Plus, can you imagine how private your conversations would be with all those mics on it 🤫.

And don't even get me started on the whole ownership thing... 80% owned by Chinese investors? That's just a red flag for me 🚫. I love Bungie and their games are always so much fun, but Marathon's delay is just frustrating 😩. And now that we can't upgrade our GPUs at retail prices, it's like the game industry is just holding back 💸.

But hey, if you're into VRAM upgrades, I've got some tips for you! Just make sure to read reviews and do your research before buying a new GPU... don't wanna waste your money on something that's gonna be outdated in no time 😬.
