omg I'm so over the whole "save the planet" thing 🌎‍♂️ like, we've been hearing that for years now and honestly I don't see any real change happening. but hey, if a book with pretty pictures can motivate people to care, I guess it's worth a shot? 📚👀 I'm not saying Graeme Green isn't passionate about conservation or anything, it's just that 50k people voting for their favorite animals to photograph seems like more of an excuse than a genuine effort at change. still, the book does sound kinda cool and I'd love to see some amazing photos by Ami Vitale and Steve McCurry 📸💥
 
Ugh, another thing I need to learn to care about... 🤣 Like the world really needs another reason to freak out over animals getting extinct. But seriously, a photography project that brings attention to endangered species is kinda cool, I guess? 📸 The fact that people voted for their favorite animals to photograph is pretty neat, I mean who wouldn't want to see Ami Vitale's sick pics of elephants in action? 🐘

But what really gets me is the whole 'rewilding' and indigenous communities being key players thing. Like, I'm all for saving our planet, but let's not forget about the people too, right? 😊 We need to make sure that everyone's got a seat at the table when it comes to conservation, not just some select groups of conservationists.

I do love Jane Goodall though, she's like the OG wildlife warrior. And if this book can inspire people to take action, then I'm all for it. 🌟 Just don't expect me to start carrying a camera around and chasing after polar bears or anything... my hiking boots are comfy enough 😂.
 
🌳 I'm all for this project, it's just heartbreaking how these amazing animals are fighting for survival 🤕. I mean, who wouldn't want to see more elephants roaming free in the wild? 🐘 And polar bears, they're like the ultimate survivors, but still need our help ❄️. The thing that gets me is how indigenous communities have been taking care of these animals for centuries, and now we're all supposed to be the saviors? 🤝 It's not rocket science, just learn from nature and respect it, you know? 🌿 And yeah, climate change is a big threat, but we can't just point fingers, we gotta take action 💪. I'm hyped for this book, can't wait to see the pics and maybe get some inspiration to make a difference 💡.
 
The more I think about it, the more I realize that "New Big Five" is actually just another example of how our relationship with nature has gone too far. I mean, we're only now starting to notice the decline of these incredible species? It's like we're only waking up when our Instagram feeds are filled with endangered animals. 📸

And let's be real, who gets to decide which animals get featured in this project? The ones that have the most money or fame behind them? Or is it actually a genuine attempt to raise awareness about the species on the brink of extinction? I'm not convinced. It's like we're just trying to create a new narrative, one that makes us feel good about ourselves instead of taking real action.

And what about the indigenous communities that are already fighting to protect their lands and animals? Shouldn't they be the ones driving this project? 🤔
 
omg u guys i just read about the new big 5 photography project its so inspiring!!! 📸🐠 i mean who knew that one photo could make a difference in saving endangered animals? Graeme Green's story is literally amazing he went on an assignment in Botswana and realized his camera could be used for good instead of harming wildlife lol what a game changer! and the fact that over 50k people voted for their favorite animals to photograph is crazy 🤯 i'm totally team gorilla tbh. but seriously, this book is going to raise so much awareness about climate change and conservation its time we take action!!! 🌎💚
