The obesity rate is falling as Americans increasingly turn to weight-loss drugs

🤔 I mean, I'm kinda surprised to see obesity rates actually dropping but not really seeing a direct correlation with weight loss med usage... like what's driving this change? Is it the meds themselves or people are just getting tested more often now? 📊 And on a side note, why is diabetes rising at the same time? It feels like we're addressing one symptom and ignoring the root cause. 🤷‍♀️

OMG u gotta know that obesity rates are actually DROPPING in the US!!! 🤯 like 37% now vs 40% in 2022 that's a big drop!!! and it's all cuz ppl r using GLP-1 weight loss meds like Ozempic & Wegovy 💊 they say its because of this but tbh i think its also cuz ppl wanna look good for summer lol! 😂 but seriously, the thing is, diabetes rates are still super high tho 🤕 so its not all good news... we need to figure out a way to tackle both obesity & diabetes problems at once 💪🏽
