The truth behind the disappearance of Charlene Downes: 'She was reduced to this salacious, shocking story'

I'm still shocked that 20 yrs on it's still not clear wot happened to Charlene. 🤯 The way she was treated by social services & the police is just awful, classism & misogyny all over the place. I mean, who turns a blind eye 2 a vulnerable kid like her? 😡 And those far-right activists just disgust me, using her story 4 their own twisted gain. Elon Musk retweeting that kebab nonsense... what's wrong wot him?! 🤷‍♂️ The abuse online towards Charlene's family is horrific, they shouldn't have 2 suffer like that. We need a proper investigation & some real justice 4 this poor girl & her fam 💔

Ugh 😩 this whole thing is just so messed up... 20 years on and we're still not getting the answers we deserve 🤷‍♀️ I mean, I feel bad for Charlene's family and her brother who had to deal with all that trauma... but at the same time, how can we even begin to fix this when people are just still spewing out hate speech online 🤬? And yeah, it's wild that Elon Musk even retweeted some of that old kebab girl crap... like what's next? 🙄 I do think Nicola Thorp is onto something though, exposing all the systemic failures and classism/misogyny... it's time to get real about how we're treating vulnerable people 👵👶. But we need more than just podcasts and outrage for justice to be served 💼

can you believe all these 20 yrs on & still no closure? it's not just charlene downes case, it's a whole system that's failed her family 🤕. this whole 'kebab girl' theory is just sickening 😷. elon musk retweeting that nonsense is just laughable 💀. online abuse of charlene's family & witnesses is just disgusting 🚫. we need to get to the bottom of what really happened to her & make sure justice is served 👮‍♀️. but honestly, i think the system is too broken to fix 🤖.
