‘The Voice’ Knockouts Wrap as Snoop Dogg Uses His Final Mic Drop

Snoop Dogg's Mic Drop Leaves Contestants in the Dust as The Voice Knockouts Come to a Close.

The highly anticipated finale of The Voice's Knockouts phase saw Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire take their final seats at the judges' table. With the competition heating up, these legendary coaches selected winners for each of their teams with ruthless efficiency – and in one memorable instance, used the infamous Mic Drop to secure an artist's place in a high-stakes showdown.

Reba McEntire kicked off the night with her last Knockout pairing: country singer Austin Gilbert and pop contestant Peyton Kyle. Gilbert delivered a rousing performance of Jake Owen's "8 Second Ride," but ultimately fell short against Peyton, who impressed McEntire with his pop-infused take on Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Wanna Be." "He had the voice that fit the moment," McEntire declared.

Niall Horan followed suit, bringing together Dustin Dale Gaspard and Kirbi for a double head-to-head showdown. Despite being severely weakened by illness, Dustin showed remarkable grit with his rough-around-the-edges take on The Black Crowes' "She Talks to Angels." In contrast, Kirbi shone brightly with her heartfelt rendition of Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll's "Heartfelt Hallelujah." Horan praised both contestants, but ultimately advanced Kirbi for her emotional resonance.

The final Knockout belonged to Team Snoop, with Lauren Anderson taking on the challenging task of performing Pink's "Try" alongside soulful crooner Yoshihanaa. Both artists delivered strong performances, but it was Yoshihanaa's polished presence that sealed the deal for Snoop, who promptly hit his Mic Drop – a move he claimed was necessary to "drop the mic on her behalf," given her undeniable star quality.

With their Knockouts now behind them, all four teams are set for next week's Playoffs. Team Snoop features Ralph Edwards, Toni Lorene, Mindy Miller and Yoshihanaa, while Team Niall includes Ava Nat, Aiden Ross, DEK of Hearts and Kirbi. Team Reba brings Aubrey Nicole, Ryan Mitchell, Aaron Nichols and Peyton Kyle to the table, with Team Bublé featuring Max Chambers, Rob Cole, Trinity and Jazz McKenzie.

As the competition enters its next phase, fans can look forward to an exciting mix of returning standouts, stolen contestants and newly advanced performers vying for a spot in the coveted Rose Parade. Tune in next week on NBC at 9 p.m. ET to find out who will rise to the top.

You know what's wild? We're living in a world where entertainment can be so mesmerizing, it's like we forget what's really going on beneath the surface 🤯. I mean, Snoop Dogg using that Mic Drop – is he trying to send a message about the fleeting nature of fame or something deeper? And those contestants... are they just pawns in our collective obsession with talent shows?

I'm curious, though, about what draws us to these competitions. Is it escapism? Social bonding over shared fandoms? Or maybe we're all secretly searching for a sense of validation in this chaotic world 🤔. Whatever the reason, I'll be tuning in next week, eager to see who'll rise to the top and what secrets lie beneath their performances 💡

🐈 I'm so confused about Snoop Dogg's Mic Drop move 🤔. Is it like, a thing where he drops his mic and that secures someone's spot in the competition? And why did he say it was to "drop the mic on her behalf"? Like, who is this artist, Yoshihanaa, even? 🎤 I've never heard of her before... how did she become so famous so fast? 😮

I don’t usually comment but Snoop Dogg's Mic Drop is getting me thinking... 😂🎤 I mean, it's all about confidence and trust in your artists, right? It sounds like he really believes in Yoshihanaa and isn't afraid to show it. That mic drop move is just the icing on the cake - it's like a stamp of approval from Snoop himself. But at the same time, it's also kinda intimidating for the other contestants... I don't know if that's gonna go over well next week 🤔

man 🤯 snoop's mic drop is like the ultimate move lol i mean reba was right on point with her picks tho niall giving kirbi props where he shouldnt have btw snoop's team is looking strong tho we got yoshihanaa killin it 🎶

I'm loving this season of The Voice 🎤💥 Snoop Dogg's Mic Drop was everything and more ! I was literally screaming at my screen when he did it 😂. I mean, you can't deny Yoshihanaa's talent – she's got that effortless swag that makes her a star in the making 🌟. I'm excited to see how the competition unfolds next week 🤔. The Playoffs are going to be lit 🔥! Can't wait to tune in and find out who'll take it all the way 📺💪

lol what a mic drop ! i was low-key rooting for Yoshihanaa all along tho she SLAYED that performance 🤩🎤 meanwhile, I think Niall got robbed of giving Dustin Dale Gaspard more time his vocals were on point despite being sick 🤒 gotta give it up to Reba McEntire though, she knows how to pick winners 👏

omg I'm so down for Team Snoop's finale win 🤩 Yoshihanaa slayed that Knockout and Snoop was right to Mic Drop on her behalf lol I mean, who wouldn't want to see a seasoned pro like him take control? But seriously though, Kirbi's performance with Niall Horan was SO emotional 💔 it gave me all the feels. And can we talk about how much I love Reba McEntire for giving those contestants honest feedback? no sugarcoating from her 🙌

omg yaaas snoop dogg is life 🔥😂 i mean what can you say about that mic drop move?? it was so clutch!!! i'm still hyped from watching it. and kirbi getting advanced by niall? yes please! she's got so much potential 🤩 and Yoshihanaa, girl, you slayed the game with snoop! can't wait for next week's playoffs 🎉💃

omg what is mic drop lol i thought it was just a phrase used in movies 🤣 so when snoop dogg actually does it with his team it's like wow that's crazy! i wonder if he uses it in real life too maybe not but still 🤷‍♀️ anyway back to the competition who do you think is gonna win next week?

man I'm so confused about this Mic Drop thing Snoop Dogg is using now like isn't that just something you do after someone screws up or something? 🤔 I mean Reba McEntire said she was impressed by Yoshihanaa's performance but still hit her mic down and just dropped the whole thing what's going on here lol

omg u guys snoop dogg is straight fire 🔥 i mean mic droping yoshihanaa was like no joke 😂 she deserved it tho! kirbi and reba's choice was pretty obvious too but still can't wait for the playoffs, team snoop is looking fierce 💁‍♀️ & i'm lowkey rooting for aubrey nicole from team reba 🤗

Snoop Dogg using that Mic Drop move on Yoshihanaa was total genius 🤯 I mean, come on, he literally dropped the mic and claimed it was necessary for her talent, not his own ego 😂. People are gonna say it's a cheesy move, but in all seriousness, Snoop knows how to spot raw talent, even if it is a bit unconventional. He's got an ear for soulful voices, and Yoshihanaa fits that bill perfectly 🎤. Also, I love how Niall Horan praised both Dustin and Kirbi – he's not afraid to give credit where credit's due 🙏. Bring on those Playoffs next week!

🚨 just watched The Voice Knockouts finale 🎶 and omg Snoop Dogg is low-key being a cool coach 😎 his mic drop move though was everything 💥 i feel for lauren anderson tho, yoshihanaa killed it 👑

omg i cant even breathe rn!!! snoop doggs mic drop is EVERYTHING 😂🔥 i swear that girl Yoshihanaa must've been born to perform bc she nailed it like a pro!! and snoop being all ruthless with his mic drop lolol what a coach 💁‍♀️ anyway, kirbi deserves it tho, her voice is SO on point!!! 🤩 can't wait for the next round of playoffs!!!
