This Week in Texas: Redistricting and Closed Primaries

just when u thought texas couldn't get any more messed up... now they're talkin bout changin district lines to, like, dilute voting power of certain groups idk how else to say it lol 😒🤦‍♂️ think these changes r just another example of gerrymandering in action and we all know where that leads to 🚫💔

omg I'm so confused about the new texas congressional map 🤯 it seems like they're trying to dilute the voting power of certain groups which is a huge red flag 🚨 anyone know how this is going to affect the 2026 elections? 😬 I just want to see more representation for people living in those districts, not less 💔

Ugh, man... I just don't get it with these new congressional maps 🤔. On one hand, you gotta admire the politicians' audacity in trying to redraw the map to their advantage. It's like they're playing a massive game of Risk, except instead of armies, it's all about voting power 🗳️. But on the other hand, I'm worried that this is just gonna perpetuate the same old gerrymandering problems we've been seeing for years 🚫.

I mean, think about it - with different districts having different voting requirements, it's like they're trying to dilute the votes of certain groups and give others a free pass 🤷‍♂️. And now that Congressman Al Green's seat is up for grabs, it's just gonna be a whole lot more drama 💥. I'm not saying it can't be fixed, but we need to make sure these changes don't just end up benefiting the right people and hurting the rest of us 🤔.

I guess what really gets me is that these politicians are supposed to be representing the people who elected them 🙏, but instead they're just trying to hold onto power 💪. It's like they've forgotten that their job is to serve the people, not just themselves 🚫. So yeah, I'm watching this whole thing with a mix of curiosity and skepticism 🤔.

🤯 I'm literally shaking my head about this new TX congressional map - it's like they're trying to mess with our democracy 😩. All these changes are happening for no reason other than politics 🤑. I mean, can't we just have fair and equal representation? 🤝 It's not that hard! And what's up with all these district changes creating different voting requirements? That's just a recipe for disaster ⚠️. I'm keeping an eye on this situation, but I gotta say, it doesn't give me much hope 😔. Maybe someone will come along and figure out a way to make this work? 🤞
