This week on "Sunday Morning," Jane Pauley explored various topics that will keep you up to date and inspired. Blind rock climber Jesse Dufton, who was born with a rare degenerative condition that causes him to lose his vision, talked about how losing his sight didn't lead him to forsake his potential.

Meanwhile, Aix-en-Provence is celebrating the life of French artist Paul Cézanne, hailed by Pablo Picasso as "the father of us all." The city is hosting a year-long celebration featuring 130 paintings, drawings and watercolors that showcase the artist's themes and inspirations. Seth Doane reported on this tribute to one of France's most iconic artists.

Metallica is giving back in a big way, thanks to their charitable foundation All Within My Hands. Founded by the band, the organization has donated to workforce education and other critical services. Luke Burbank spoke with Metallica members Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Robert Trujillo, and Lars Ulrich about their philanthropic efforts.

Actress Amanda Seyfried shared her candid thoughts on anxiety, OCD, and living a grounded life on her Upstate New York farm. She talked to Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz about overcoming obstacles that once held her back from pursuing her passions.

Music fans can look forward to the new album "72 Seasons" by Metallica, available for streaming now. The band's philanthropic efforts are also highlighted, as they team up with Carhartt and Feeding America to provide five million meals through their charitable foundation AWMH.

Director James Cameron is at it again with his visually stunning film "Avatar: Fire and Ash." Jonathan Vigliotti spoke with the director about the latest installment in the Avatar series.

In other news, Architectural Digest's new book, "AD at Home," captures timeless designs of private spaces. Serena Altschul talked to editor Amy Astley about the magazine's treatment of these environments.

Finally, Jane Pauley looked back at the history and mythology behind Thanksgiving in the United States, a celebration that has evolved over time.

🤔 I'm loving how these Sunday Morning stories are tackling such inspiring topics! Blind rock climber Jesse Dufton is literally on another level - his story is proof that potential knows no bounds 🎯. And it's so cool to see Metallica using their platform for good, they're making a real difference in people's lives 💖. I'm also intrigued by the Aix-en-Provence tribute to Paul Cézanne, who was truly a pioneer in art 🎨. The way they're celebrating his legacy through 130 paintings and works is amazing... it's great to see artists being recognized for their contributions 🙌

🤔 think its wild how ppl r makin music & art w nothin but their own vision 🎨🎶. metallica's all within my hands foundation is doin some real good, 5 million meals is huge 🍴💖

OMG, I'm so inspired by Jesse Dufton's story 🤯! He's proof that even with adversity, you can achieve your dreams and find new ways to succeed. And I love how Aix-en-Provence is celebrating Paul Cézanne's life - the guy was a total genius, right? 🎨 His artwork is so iconic and beautiful.

But what really got me is Metallica's philanthropic efforts 💕. They're doing amazing work through All Within My Hands, and it's awesome to see them giving back like that. And can we talk about Amanda Seyfried's honesty on her anxiety and OCD? 🤗 It's so refreshing to see someone being real about their struggles.

And have you seen the trailer for "Avatar: Fire and Ash"? 🎥 James Cameron is a total master of his craft, and I'm low-key excited to see this new installment. Lastly, Architectural Digest's book "AD at Home" looks like it would be so inspiring - I need some design goals in my life 😍

🤔 I'm really intrigued by Jesse Dufton's story. I mean, can you imagine having to navigate life without sight? 🌎 It's crazy how he's still pushing himself and achieving his dreams, though! His determination is super inspiring 💪.

What do people think about the new Metallica album? Has anyone been listening to it nonstop like they did with their last one? 🎵 I've seen some fans saying it's back to form after that whole 20-year hiatus thing 🤷‍♂️. Thoughts? 🤔

I mean come on... 5 million meals from Metallica? It sounds like they're just trying to get their face out there for some PR stunt 🤣. I'm all about giving back, but let's not pretend it's all altruistic, right? They're probably getting a ton of good karma points from the media and fans. And while Paul Cézanne is definitely an iconic artist, can we talk about how his art was basically just a bunch of trees and rocks? Like, what even is that? 😒

I'm not feeling super inspired by this week's lineup 🤔. Don't get me wrong, Jesse Dufton's story is amazing and Paul Cézanne's art is iconic, but I wish there was more diversity in the topics 🎨🌎. Amanda Seyfried's anxiety interview was really raw, but let's be real, her farm vibes are what most people need a break from right now 🚫💤. And can we talk about how outdated Thanksgiving history feels? Like, didn't that already be covered in 2023 🙄. Overall, it's just another week of familiar faces and stories 😐.

I'm all for giving credit where it's due... like Jesse Dufton, this blind rock climber is literally crushing it despite having a rare condition that causes him to lose his vision. He's proof that you don't need eyes to explore and achieve your dreams 🤙♂️! And can we talk about Metallica's philanthropic efforts? They're not just raving metalheads, they're actually making a difference in the lives of many people, especially through their foundation All Within My Hands 💖. It's all about spreading love and positivity, you know?

omg u guyz Metallica is literally the best 🤘💖 i was watching Luke Burbank's convo with Kirk Hammett & co on Sunday Morning & it just made me so emotional lol! like how they're using their platform to give back & support workforce education & other services 🙌 my heart goes out 2 all the people they're helping!! 😊 and can we talk about Paul Cézanne for a sec? 🎨 i'm loving this year-long celebration in Aix-en-Provence 💫 it's amazing how art can inspire us & bring ppl together like that! 💖

🤔 I think it's dope how Metallica is giving back like that 🙌. People always talk about their metal music but they're also making a real difference through AWMH 💖. Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield are total legends for using their platform to support workforce education and other services 🙏. It's cool to see artists like them being more than just musicians, you know? They're actually changing lives 👊.

man i feel bad for jesse dufton dude losing his sight doesn't make him any less capable 🤯 but its crazy to think about how he overcame obstacles to still pursue rock climbing what an inspiration he is btw 👏 anyway back to paul cezanne, i always loved his artwork and the fact that aix-en-provence is giving him so much tribute love 💕

I mean, can you believe it? Blind rock climber Jesse Dufton is like, totally crushing it with his climbing skills... get this - he's never even seen what he's doing! 🤣 I wonder if he uses his other senses to find holds and stuff. Like, does he feel the vibrations of the rope or something? 🌟 On a related note, have you heard about the new Metallica album? "72 Seasons" is like, whoa! I mean, I'm not a huge fan of heavy metal, but even I know they're philanthropists now. That's what I call a win-win - great music and good vibes 🤘🌈

OMG u guys i was thinking what its like 2 b blind nd climb mountains lol but seriously Jesse Dufton is literally a total inspiration to me his story is soooo inspiring dont watch him on Sunday morning tho cuz u'll need some tissues!!! & btw im thinking of getting more into art idk wut inspired me but seeing all those cezanne paintings in Aix-en-Provence got me all nostalgic like did u see the pic of james hetfield w/ his guitar lol he looks so calm & relaxed i wonder if hes been practicing meditation nd anxiety management techniques

Ugh, I'm so over this whole Paul Cézanne thing... everyone's making a big deal about him being some kind of "father" to art or whatever. Newsflash: Pablo Picasso was literally his student! Like, come on. And don't even get me started on the Aix-en-Provence celebration – it's just gonna be a bunch of overpriced art tours and pretentious French food 🙄. I mean, who needs all those paintings and drawings when you could just watch some cat videos online?

I'm loving all the inspiring stories on Sunday Morning! 🌞 Jesse Dufton's determination to pursue his dreams despite losing his sight is truly amazing ❤️. And can you believe Paul Cézanne's art will be celebrated in Aix-en-Provence for an entire year? 🎨 That's so cool! Metallica's philanthropic efforts are also giving back in a big way, and it's awesome to see them using their platform for good 🤘. Amanda Seyfried's openness about her anxiety and OCD is also super refreshing, and I love that she's found her peace on her farm 🌼. The new Metallica album sounds epic, and I'm all for supporting artists who give back to the community 🎸. And finally, James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash looks like an incredible visual feast – can't wait to see it! 🤩

OMG u guys 1st I just saw this thread about Paul Cézanne & I gotta say his art is like woah so detailed & complex 🤯! And did u know he was super close to Pablo Picasso? Like they were literally friends. Anyway, I'm loving the fact that Aix-en-Provence is celebrating him for a whole year 😊 it's gonna be lit!

I think it's pretty interesting how Jesse Dufton's determination to push past his disability is so inspiring 🤩. I mean, who wouldn't be motivated by someone who's still climbing rocks despite losing their vision? It just shows us that even when life throws us a curveball, we can always find ways to adapt and thrive.

And have you seen those 130 paintings of Paul Cézanne on display in Aix-en-Provence? 🎨 That's some incredible art! I love how the city is celebrating his legacy. It's amazing how his work continues to influence artists to this day.

But what really caught my eye was Metallica's charitable foundation, All Within My Hands ❤️. It's awesome that they're using their platform to give back to the community. And it's so cool that Carhartt and Feeding America are teaming up with them to provide meals for five million people. That's some serious philanthropy right there! 🤝

You know when we talk about people who are born with some kind of limitation or challenge, it's easy to feel sorry for them, but Jesse Dufton is actually living proof that you can still achieve so much and find purpose despite those limitations. I mean, can you imagine not being able to see the world around you? But he's still rock climbing and inspiring people with his story. It just goes to show that we all have our own unique struggles, but it's how we respond to them that really matters. We can choose to let them hold us back or use them as motivation to push ourselves further.
