LA County District Attorney Charges Three Men in Connection with Latin Singer De La Rosa's Fatal Shooting

Prosecutors have charged three men with murder and attempted robbery in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Maria De La Rosa, a rising Latin singer performing under the name DELAROSA. The incident occurred on Saturday morning in Northridge, where De La Rosa was with two others when three men approached their vehicle and demanded money.

The suspects then opened fire, striking all three occupants. Two other victims suffered critical injuries, while De La Rosa died shortly after arriving at a hospital.

"This was a ruthless and targeted attack that stole the life of a young woman and artist and inflicted profound lifelong trauma on her family and the two survivors," LA County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a statement.

The suspects, all from Northridge, were charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted second-degree robbery. A 27-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, while another suspect was apprehended the following day. An arrest warrant has been issued for the third individual, who is 21 years old.

De La Rosa, a social media influencer with over 40,000 followers on Instagram, had recently released a single called "No Me Llames" and teased new music in her final post before her death. Her fans and fellow artists have taken to social media to pay tribute to the young singer, including Jimmy Humilde, founder of record label Rancho Humilde.

The investigation into De La Rosa's killing is ongoing, with authorities continuing to seek justice for the victims' families.

OMG, this is just so sad ! I was really feeling that new single by DELAROSA, "No Me Llames", and now she's gone . It's crazy how much impact one person can have on people's lives, especially when it comes to music.
