I'm getting a bit worried about my online safety with all these changes at TikTok ... I mean, what's the point of having precise location tracking? Can't they just use some general data instead? And AI interactions seem kinda creepy - like, do I really need to share so much info with their algorithms? But what really freaks me out is that advertisers can now track my online activities across multiple platforms... like, can't that be considered an invasion of privacy or something? Anyway, gotta keep an eye on this and make sure I'm aware of all these changes before they affect me
I'm so down for TikTok making some major changes to their privacy policy - I mean, we all know social media platforms have been collecting way too much of our info anyway but at least now they're being super clear about what that is and how it's gonna be used.
So yeah precise location tracking is wild...I get why they need to do this for some ads, but still - can't we just opt out or something? And AI interactions? Like I love TikTok's AI tools as much as the next person, but come on - more data = less privacy .
One thing that does intrigue me is how they're gonna use all this info to personalize ads across other platforms...it's like they're trying to create this super creepy "echo chamber" or something. Anyway, just wanna make sure I'm taking control of my online life and being mindful of what I'm agreeing to
I don’t usually comment but I think it’s wild that they're asking for consent now . I mean, didn't we already know that our data was being collected just by using the app? It feels like a step back in terms of transparency and user control. I guess it's good that they're being more open about what they're doing with our info, but at the same time, it's still a lot to take in . Can we really be expected to agree to all these changes without understanding what we're getting ourselves into?
