Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox review – space-hopping comedy asks the big question

"Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox" is a comedy that attempts to tackle one of physics' most mind-bending concepts: time travel. At its core, it asks the question: what happens when you try to eliminate yourself from existence? The film follows Tim Travers, a scientist played by Samuel Dunning, who sends himself back in time to kill his younger self in an attempt to understand the infamous time traveler's paradox.

The concept is straightforward: if Tim eliminates his past self, won't he also cease to exist in the future? But things get complicated when it's revealed that this self-travelled version of Tim must survive. The film takes a step-by-step approach to exploring the paradox, with each new iteration creating multiple versions of Tim who begin to blur the lines between reality and chaos.

As Tim navigates his time-travelling escapades, he's forced to contend with an array of characters, including a hitman tasked with eliminating all the space-time clones. The film's pacing is relentless, hurtling forward with little respite as it tries to wrap its head around the mind-bending implications of time travel.

Despite its ambitions, "Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox" ultimately feels like an exhausting indie romp. While there are moments of humor, particularly in a cameo appearance by Keith David as a divine entity known as God, the film often veers into absurdity.

One can't help but draw comparisons to Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," which similarly explores time travel and its absurdities with a lighter touch. While this film may not be able to match Adams' wit and charm, it does offer some amusing moments that fans of science fiction comedy might appreciate.

Ultimately, "Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox" is a film that asks big questions but often fails to provide satisfying answers. It's a space-hopping comedy that will leave viewers questioning its logic, even as they laugh at its absurdities.

I dont get why it says this concept is straightforward but then gets all complicated 😅... like how would i kill my past self and still exist? 🤔 doesn't seem right... and what about when theres multiple versions of me and who kills who and stuff? its just too much for my head 💥

lol what a wild ride this movie takes u 🤯 but honestly the more i think about it the more i'm like wut r we even doin here? 🤔 tryna kill urself in the past 2 prevent urself from existin in the future? sounds like a recipe for a paradox party 🎉 and yeah its got some funny moments like that keith david cameo tho 🙌 but overall feels like they're just throwing concepts at the wall see what sticks kinda like "the hitchhikers guide" but not quite 💪

I'm not sure if I fully grasped the whole time travel thing in this movie... 🤔🕰️ it was kinda like trying to solve a puzzle blindfolded while being attacked by a swarm of bees! The pacing was fast, but sometimes I felt like I needed a refresher on what was happening. I loved Keith David's cameo tho! 😂👊 the film had some funny moments, especially when the space-time clones started showing up left and right. It's like they took a few too many inspiration from Douglas Adams' work... 🤣 "Don't Panic!" anyone? 😅 anyway, I'd say it's worth watching if you're a sci-fi comedy fan, but don't expect everything to add up at the end. #TimeTravelProbs #ComedyVsScience #PacingIsEverything

🤔 I gotta say, time travel paradoxes are wild to wrap your head around. This movie tries too hard to tackle the concept and ends up feeling like a mess 📚💥 The more times Tim goes back in time, the more confusing it gets. It's like trying to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded 😂. But hey, I did enjoy Keith David's cameo as God - that was a nice touch of humor 💫. If they took some notes from Douglas Adams' style, maybe they'd have come up with something more cohesive 🤓. Overall, it's an okay watch if you're into sci-fi comedy, but don't expect a masterpiece ⚡

I don't usually comment on films, but I gotta say... "Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox" is like trying to drink from a firehose - it's got some wild ideas goin' on 😅. The concept of tryin' to eliminate yourself from existence just raises more questions than answers, you know? Like, if Tim kills his past self, doesn't that mean he never existed in the first place? 🤯 Mind blown, man.

I think the film's pacing is a bit much, to be honest. It tries to pack too many plot twists and characters into one movie, and it feels like they're all just kinda... flopping around 😂. The humor's alright, but it's not laugh-out-loud funny or anything. And I get what the filmmakers are tryin' to do with the God cameo - it's like a wink to Douglas Adams fans, for sure 🙏.

Still, if you're into science fiction comedy and don't mind a bit of mental whiplash 😂, "Tim Travers" might be worth a watch. Just don't say I didn't warn ya... ⚠️

I gotta say, this whole time travel thing has me stumped 🤯. The more I think about it, the more my head spins. Like, if you eliminate yourself from existence, don't you just cease to be? And what's up with all these space-time clones? It's like they're living in a never-ending loop of déjà vu 🕰️. And don't even get me started on the pacing - it felt like they were trying to cram an entire physics course into one movie. I mean, I know I'm no expert, but come on, can't they just simplify things for once? 😂 Despite all that, there were some laugh-out-loud moments, especially with Keith David's cameo as God 🙏. Maybe it's not the most logical film, but hey, it's entertaining in its own weird way 🎥.

lolol this movie 2 b honest im not super into it 🤷‍♂️ the concept of tim travers & time travel paradox is kinda cool but its execution feels like its tryin 2 hard 🤪 too many twists n turns make it hard 2 follow 😴 i mean i get where they r goin but it just dont feel cohesive at all 🙅‍♂️ samuel dunning as tim travers seems nice tho 👍 and keith david as god is a funny lil cameo 🤣 but overall its an okay comedy movie if u r into that kinda thing 😎

I just watched this movie and I gotta say, it's like trying to navigate a maze with no exit 😂. The concept of time travel is fascinating, but the film makes it feel like a wild goose chase. It's like they took all these crazy ideas and threw 'em together without thinking about how they'd all fit together. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining in small doses, but if you're looking for something with a clear story or punchline, this ain't it 🤔. I mean, I was rooting for Tim to figure it out, but by the end of it, I just felt like "huh?" 😕 Still, if you're into that sorta thing, you might enjoy it.

Omg I love this movie!!! 🤣 Samuel Dunning is so cute as Tim Travers and the special effects are insane 🤯! I was totally confused by the time paradox but it made me think about what would happen if I went back in time lol 😂 Keith David's cameo as God tho 🙌. The pacing can be a bit wild at times, but that's kinda the point right? It's like trying to wrap your head around time travel - it's crazy! 😆

🤔 I gotta say, this whole time travel thing is trippy, right? The paradox part is like, what if you go back in time and kill yourself, but then who killed the original you? It's like a never-ending loop of "what ifs". I mean, I'm no physicist, but even I can see that the film takes some liberties with the concept. Like, if Tim's gotta survive, doesn't that just create more problems than it solves? 🤯 And don't even get me started on the pacing - it feels like a mad dash to wrap up all the plot threads before you know what hit you. 😅 It's like they're trying to pack too many jokes and ideas into one movie. Compared to something like Hitchhiker's, which is basically the masterclass in comedy sci-fi, this one just feels...meh. 🤷‍♂️ Still, fans of the genre might get a kick out of it, I guess?

🤣🕰️💥

👵🚀 Tim Travers is trying to kill his future self, but he's already dead... I think? 🤦‍♂️

📺 The film is like a time-traveling fever dream, and it's exhausting to watch! 😴

🕳️ Why did the physicist break up with his girlfriend? Because he found her mass attractive! 💔

💭 Time travel: where you can go back in time, but only if you're willing to go back on yourself! 🤪

🤣 Keith David as God is the real MVP 🙌
