Travelodge guest suffers sleepless night as hotel says it is 'overbooked'

๐Ÿ˜ฑ I cant believe this is happening! its not just about overbooking, its about how travelodge dont care about there customers. 77 years old lady got scammed out of a room and had to pay for transport... thats just rip off ๐Ÿค‘. The fact that they are offering vouchers instead of actual refunds is just a joke. I mean who wants a voucher when youve already lost your sanity from being kept awake all night? ๐Ÿ˜ด its time travelodge steps up there game and puts customers first, not just trying to cover their backside with some half-baked apology ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ ugh man this is getting old like every 1st hotel has overbooking issues its not even a surprise but still why do they have 2 ppl on the same phone line trying 2 sort out the same problem lol meanwhile the guest is stuck at that hotel and has 2 pay 4 transport ๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿ’ธ & stuff like that. i mean wat happened 2 that housekeeping guy in Cardiff? didnt he see the rooms were messed up? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿค• u gotta think, when u book a hotel room, ur expectin a comfy bed & some peace n quiet, not bein treated like ur just another number in a system that's more worried about occupancy rates than customer satisfaction ๐Ÿค‘. I mean, what's the point of havin all these policies in place if they're not gonna actually help u when it goes wrong? It's like Travelodge is just hopin you don't notice or care... but we do, & we won't hesitate to share our bad experiences with others ๐Ÿ‘Ž.

Ugh, I'm so done with overbooking policies ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ก! Travelodge really needs to get its act together and communicate better with their customers. I mean, who wants to spend a night at a hotel that's "overbooked" but has no one staying there? ๐Ÿšซ It's just plain annoying. And don't even get me started on the vouchers for future stays... like, what's the point of that?! ๐Ÿ˜’ You've already wasted an entire night and had a stressful experience - do you really want to book another stay at the same hotel just to "get your money back"? ๐Ÿค” I think Travelodge needs to rethink its approach to customer service and provide way more support during these situations. A clear explanation of what's going on, some compensation for their time and stress... that would be a good start! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ I'm seriously concerned about Travelodge's overbooking policy โ€“ it's absolutely unacceptable that a 77-year-old woman was subjected to such distress due to an error that could've been avoided if the hotel had communicated more effectively earlier on ๐Ÿšจ. The fact that they offered her a voucher instead of providing alternative solutions is, in my opinion, an egregious mistake ๐Ÿ˜ณ. This case highlights a systemic issue within the company's policies and procedures, which seem woefully inadequate when dealing with overbookings ๐Ÿ‘Ž.

I had a similar experience at a Holiday Inn back in the 90s ๐Ÿ˜ณ. I booked a room for a weekend getaway but ended up getting stuck in a nearby hotel due to overbooking ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ. They just moved me to another room without offering any compensation or explanation ๐Ÿค”. It was frustrating and stressful, especially since I had planned my whole trip around that one night โฐ.

It's concerning to hear that Travelodge has had multiple incidents like this happen ๐Ÿ’”. As an older adult, I can attest to how unsettling it is to be stuck in a situation without clear communication or support ๐Ÿ“ž. It's not just about the inconvenience; it's also about the emotional toll of dealing with these kinds of situations ๐Ÿ˜“.

Travelodge needs to seriously revamp their overbooking policies and procedures to ensure customer safety and well-being ๐Ÿ‘. Offering vouchers for future stays might seem like a good gesture, but it doesn't make up for the stress and discomfort caused ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. They should also be more transparent about what's happening behind the scenes ๐Ÿ”ฎ.
