This is insane... like, how can you just ignore all the warnings from scientists & locals about the devastating effects of oil spills on marine life 
? And now they're gonna do it TWICE - California and Florida?!?! What's next?! They should be more worried about the whole "energy dominance" thing... at what cost to our planet's future? 
It's all just a huge gamble, and I'm not sure who's gonna come out on top - the oil industry or the environment

, california coast is literally crying out for protection. have you seen the pics of santa barbara after that oil spill back in the 60s? it was like nothing ever happened lol. florida's beaches are already dying from all the pollution and what's next, gonna drill right on top of miami beach 
? no thanks. america needs to wake up and realize we can't just keep drilling our way through life, someone's gotta pay for this mess eventually 
. But seriously, it's just crazy. I've been to some beautiful beaches in my time, but if they start getting oil spills all over the place, I'll be like, "You know what, I'm good" . And can we talk about Florida's beaches? They're already perfect, no need to mess with that 
. Plus, have you seen the sizes of those oil rigs? It's like, "Hey, let's build a giant metal monster off our coast and hope for the best" 
. Not exactly the most reassuring thought, if you ask me
