President Trump has approved a tough Russia sanctions bill, Sen. Lindsey Graham announced on Wednesday. The bipartisan legislation would allow the President to punish countries buying cheap Russian oil that fuels Putin's war machine.
Graham said the bill would provide the President with tremendous leverage against other major economies like China, India, and Brazil to incentivize them to stop buying cheap Russian oil that finances Putin's brutal assault on Ukraine.
The bill still needs to go through a vote in Congress before it reaches Trump's desk. Graham expressed optimism that he could get strong bipartisan support for the bill as early as next week.
According to Graham, this sanctions bill will be well-timed given that Ukraine is making concessions towards peace and Putin continues to kill innocent people with all talk.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Sen. Lindsey Graham's tough Russia sanctions bill actually passes Congress. It feels like the world needs more pressure on Putin's regime right about now. Those countries that are still fueling his war machine are basically profiting off human suffering, and it's time for them to face consequences too
