Two Democrats challenging 'Chuy' Garcia's successor in independent bids for 4th Congressional District

I'm thinking about how Chicago's got some major issues 🤔 like homelessness and affordability... it's crazy that 2 new people are trying to shake things up in the government, but I hope whoever wins gets things done for the ppl who need help 😊 Alderman Sigcho-Lopez sounds like he might have a good shot at it, his platform on housing and healthcare reform is super important. And I love that both candidates are focusing on protecting immigrant communities - it's time for some change in DC! 👍

idk why ppl gotta get so involved in local politics 🤷‍♂️... seems like Garcia's already got a solid rep, but i guess Sigcho-Lopez & Macías think they can do better 💪? both of them are pretty passionate about their stuff, tho - it'll be interesting to see how that plays out on election day 🗳️

Macías sounds like she might have some real fire in her belly, given her community organizing background and all... but Sigcho-Lopez's got the whole "working families over corporate interests" vibe going on, which could really resonate with people 💸

i think what's gonna be most interesting is how this plays out if Garcia loses - will she stay involved in politics or just fade away? and what's at stake for this 4th Congressional District if Sigcho-Lopez or Macías takes the seat 🤔

🤣 This is gonna be good! So, it's like, Rep Garcia's friend (Patty) is trying to get her seat, but two other folks (Byron and Mayra) are all like "hey, I wanna be the one!" And they're both trying to out-left each other... like a Democrat socialist vs someone who wants to abolish ICE 🤯. I mean, can't we just have one person who's not totally crazy for once? 😂 Either way, it's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out. Maybe Byron and Mayra will actually manage to get those signatures in time... ain't gonna happen though, they'll be like "oh no, too late!" 🙄

OMG 😱 I'm low-key excited about these two new faces challenging Rep Garcia 💪 Mayra Macías seems like a total firecracker 🎇 her platform on affordability and immigrant rights has me feeling all the feels ❤️ and Byron Sigcho-Lopez's stance on corporate power is super refreshing 🙌 gotta see how this whole thing plays out in the election 🤔💥
