UAW, crowdfunding campaigns back Ford worker suspended for heckling Trump - Detroit Metro Times

Ford Worker Heckles Trump, Receives Suspended Sentence; UAW Backs Him with Crowdfunding Campaigns

A Ford worker who heckled President Donald Trump during a plant tour in Dearborn has been suspended and is now facing support from the United Auto Workers (UAW) union. The employee, TJ Sabula, was fired after shouting "pedophile protector" at Trump in reference to accusations that his administration is covering up an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.

The UAW has condemned Trump's response, calling it "vulgar," and is backing Sabula with a crowdfunding campaign. In a statement, UAW Vice President Laura Dickerson said the union supports its member's right to speak out and will ensure he receives full protection under their contract language safeguarding his job and rights as a union member.

The suspension was a day after Trump visited Ford's F-150 plant in Dearborn. The president responded with a middle finger and mouthing "fuck you" twice, sparking outrage from some lawmakers and the public. U.S. Reps Rashida Tlaib and Debbie Dingell have also spoken out in support of Sabula.

Two GoFundMe campaigns for Sabula have raised over $450,000 to help him recover from his ordeal. The fundraisers are legitimate, according to a spokesperson for GoFundMe.

The incident highlights the tensions between labor unions and corporate America, as well as the growing divide between Trump's base and critics of his policies. As one supporter pointed out on Twitter, "He's right. The president is, in fact, protecting pedophiles... Don't come to my district and expect a warm welcome. Release the Epstein files!"

The UAW's decision to back Sabula demonstrates its commitment to protecting workers' rights and promoting free speech in the workplace.

๐Ÿ˜ Trump thinks he's above the law... or at least, his security detail is. Middle finger? "fuck you" twice? That's just peachy. The fact that a worker dared to speak out against him got him fired ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’”. Kudos to UAW for backing Sabula and standing up for workers' rights ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช. It's time corporate America remembers its employees aren't just cogs in the machine, but human beings too ๐Ÿ’ญ๐Ÿ‘ฅ.

Yooo, Trump got roasted ๐Ÿคฃ by a Ford worker for trying to sweep that Epstein scandal under the rug! The guy got suspended but his coworkers are coming at it with some serious backup ๐Ÿ’ช - like, who needs a raise when you can start a crowdfunding campaign and get 450k in donations? ๐Ÿค‘ Meanwhile, Reps Tlaib and Dingell are speaking out for Sabula too, showing that there's still some common sense on the other side of the aisle ๐Ÿ‘. And honestly, the UAW is totally right to stand up for this guy - workers have a right to speak out, even if it gets them in hot water ๐Ÿ”ฅ. The divide between labor and corporate America is getting real ๐Ÿค, but at least we know who's got Sabula's back ๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿค” this guy TJ Sabula is literally a hero for speaking out against Trump's crappy behavior ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ˜ก he got fired but the UAW is standing by him and giving him a chance to get his job back which shows they're not afraid to take on big corporations ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘Š. also, it's crazy that Trump responded with middle fingers and mouthing some nasty words ๐Ÿคฎ. i'm glad Reps Tlaib and Dingell are supporting Sabula and standing up for workers' rights ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿค” So, this whole thing with TJ Sabula and Trump has me thinking... if we're gonna take on corporate America, don't we need people like Sabula who are willing to speak out? I mean, sure, his way of doing it was super unprofessional, but sometimes that's exactly what you gotta do when you feel your voice isn't being heard. The UAW is right to stand by him and support his right to free speech - it's a crucial part of being a union member! ๐Ÿ’ช And let's be real, Trump's response was pretty over-the-top... I mean, who gives someone the finger in a factory? ๐Ÿ˜ณ It just shows how out of touch he is with the average worker. Anyway, I think Sabula's decision to start a crowdfunding campaign for himself is actually kind of genius - it puts pressure on the UAW and Ford to stand by him. And $450k so far? That's some serious solidarity! ๐Ÿค‘

I'm not surprised the UAW is backing TJ Sabula, tbh ๐Ÿ™„. It's about time corporate America starts holding their employees accountable for speaking out against injustice. Trump's response was totally uncalled for, btw ๐Ÿ˜’. I mean, mouthing "fuck you" twice and giving a middle finger? That's not presidential behavior, that's just plain rude. And now Sabula is facing backlash because he dared to stand up for what's right? It's a no-brainer, folks ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. The UAW should be commended for supporting their member and standing up against Trump's bullying tactics.

By the way, $450k on GoFundMe? That's crazy money ๐Ÿ’ธ. I'm sure Sabula will appreciate it once he gets his job back, which I hope happens ASAP ๐Ÿคž. The fact that Trump thinks he can just shut down a union-backed campaign and expect everyone to be silent is just laughable ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. Not on my watch, not with the UAW on the scene ๐Ÿ’ช!

I'm so worried about TJ Sabula ๐Ÿค•! I think it's completely unacceptable that he got suspended for speaking out against Trump, especially when the UAW is supporting him ๐Ÿ™Œ. It just goes to show how far corporate America will go to silence workers who dare to speak up. And let's be real, Trump's response was totally uncalled for ๐Ÿ˜ก. I mean, who gives someone the finger and says "fuck you" in public? Gross! ๐Ÿคข Anyway, it's amazing that the UAW is standing by Sabula and helping him raise money on GoFundMe ๐Ÿ’ธ. We need to keep supporting workers' rights and fighting for a more just society ๐ŸŒŽ.

OMG u no how upset i was wen i herd about TJ Sabula gettin suspended for hecklin Trump? ๐Ÿ˜ก Like, whats wrong wit him?? He stood up 4 himself & now hes facin backlash from the company & even the president ๐Ÿคฌ Trump responded wit a middle finger & mouthing some pretty nasty words... that's just rude ๐Ÿ™„

But its cool dat the UAW is backin him & startin a crowd fundin campaign 2 help him out ๐Ÿค‘ they r defendin his right 2 free speech & protectin his job rights. Its all about standin up 4 whats rite & not bein silenced ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Come on guys, let's not forget that we all have different perspectives and ways of expressing ourselves... ๐Ÿ‘ฅ๐Ÿ’ฌ. TJ Sabula's outburst might've been seen as wrong, but what if he was just really upset about something? We should try to be understanding, like Laura Dickerson said โ€“ it's all about safeguarding each other's rights ๐Ÿ’ช. The UAW is showing us that we need to support our brothers and sisters in the workplace when they're speaking out for a cause ๐Ÿค. And let's not forget, even with controversy comes change, right? ๐Ÿ”„

OMG, I'm literally living for this!!! ๐Ÿคฉ TJ Sabula is literally fighting for what's right and the UAW is having his back! ๐Ÿ™Œ I mean, Trump's response was totally unacceptable, giving a middle finger and mouthing "fuck you"... like, hello, civility matters! ๐Ÿ˜ก

I love how the UAW is standing strong for Sabula and supporting him with crowdfunding campaigns ๐Ÿค It's amazing to see the union coming together to protect workers' rights and promote free speech. And let's be real, $450k raised in just a day is, like, WHOA ๐Ÿ’ธ

This whole incident highlights how divided we are as a country, but I'm so proud of Sabula for speaking out against Trump's alleged pedophilia cover-up ๐Ÿšซ It takes courage to stand up for what you believe in, even if it means going against the president. So here's to TJ Sabula and his amazing supporters - keep cheering him on! ๐Ÿ’ช

man this whole thing is wild ๐Ÿคฏ Trump gets all salty when someone calls him out on some shady stuff, then has the nerve to give a middle finger and mouth off ๐Ÿ˜ก. It's like he thinks he's above the law or something. On one hand I get it, TJ Sabula was speaking truth and someone needs to hold Trump accountable ๐Ÿค. But at the same time, I'm not sure if Sabula's behavior was the best way to express himself... maybe just a more civil way would've gotten him the attention he wanted ๐Ÿ˜Š. The UAW's decision to support Sabula is a good move tho, unions need to be strong and stand up for their members ๐Ÿ’ช.

I'm low-key impressed that TJ Sabula found the courage to speak out against Trump, I mean, it's not easy standing up to someone with that much power ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ‘Š. The fact that the UAW is backing him with a crowdfunding campaign is a huge show of support for workers' rights and free speech in the workplace ๐Ÿ’ช. It's also a great example of how social media can be used to raise awareness and funds for a cause, GoFundMe campaigns are like, really powerful ๐Ÿค‘. And I gotta say, Trump's response was pretty shady ๐Ÿ‘Ž, middle fingers are never an acceptable way to handle confrontation ๐Ÿ˜’.

I'm low-key impressed by TJ Sabula's balls for speaking truth to power ๐Ÿคฏ, especially when you consider Trump was basically disrespecting him on live TV ๐Ÿ‘Š. At the same time, I get why some people were triggered by that middle finger and "fuck you" comment - it's just not cool behavior from a public figure, even if he is the Prez ๐Ÿ™„. On one hand, the UAW backing Sabula with crowdfunding campaigns is super awesome for workers' rights & free speech ๐Ÿค, but on another hand, I worry that this might be setting a bad precedent for how corporations handle employee dissent... maybe it's time to have more nuanced conversations about labor laws & collective bargaining ๐Ÿค”?
