UK fraud prevention 'still lacking' after Covid-related scams and errors cost £11bn

man this covid scam thing is just crazy 💸😱 remember when you had to get a paper from the government just to get some money back? nowadays it's all online but still somehow people find ways to scam the system 🤦‍♂️ and now we're paying for it with £10.9 billion lol what happened to that era when scammers were like "oh no, i messed up" 💔

🤔 I mean, £10.9 billion is a whoppin' big chunk of change, ain't it? 🤑 And it's not just the money that's the issue, it's the fact that these scams were dodgy enough to take advantage of people during such a tough time with Covid. I remember seeing all these schemes and thinking, "How am I supposed to know what's legit?" 🤷‍♀️ The government should've had better systems in place, you know? 👎 It's not just about holding the bad guys accountable, but also making sure that everyone who wants to play by the rules can do so without being hassled. 💡 Maybe this report is a wake-up call for them to get their act together and create some real safeguards. Fingers crossed, yeah? 🤞
