I gotta say, it's crazy how far these peace talks have come... or maybe not that far 
. Ending the war is a huge ask, and I'm not sure if Russia is really on board yet. I mean, they've been saying one thing and doing another for years now.
It's great that the US is trying to broker a deal, though. We can't just sit back and let Ukraine burn
. But at the same time, we have to be realistic about what Russia wants. They want some kind of recognition, maybe even more than that.
I'm not sure if a single issue like ending the war is enough to satisfy everyone. What about the annexation of Crimea? That's still a big deal for Ukraine and Europe
. Maybe we need to think bigger and come up with a plan that addresses all these different issues at once. I don't know, just seems like a lot to ask right now

I feel like we've seen this before in diplomacy 101... how many times can we try different approaches before something works out?
