Valve’s new VR streaming trick won’t just work with its own headset

🤯 Can you believe how fast tech is advancing? I mean, back in my day we were just starting to get into 3D gaming and now we've got VR headsets that can stream games in like, whoa! 🤓 I'm excited to see how this technology is being adopted by other companies, especially Apple's Vision Pro. Eye-tracking cameras are just mind-blowing, it feels like sci-fi stuff 😮

But what's really cool is that foveated streaming isn't exclusive to Valve's headset anymore. It's gonna be awesome to see more compatible models popping up and taking full advantage of this tech 🤩. I mean, think about it, you can play games on whatever headset you want, as long as it's got the eye-tracking feature. It's like having a whole new world of gaming possibilities 😎

Only thing that's giving me a bit of pause is that lower level OS support still needs to catch up with SteamOS. But I'm sure Valve will keep pushing forward and making sure this tech becomes mainstream 💻

just think about how this tech is gonna open doors for other headset makers 🤯... I mean, imagine being able to stream games in 4K like you're really there! and the best part? anyone who's got a compatible model can take advantage of it 🎮👍

🤔 So they're saying this new VR thingy isn't exclusive to their own headset? That's kinda cool I guess. But what does "any headset that supports eye-tracking" even mean? Do we have a list of headsets that support eye-tracking somewhere? 📊 And how do we know it's gonna work with other OSes? They're saying one OS doesn't support it, but what about others? We need more info on this 🙄

😊 It's fascinating to see how tech companies like Apple are already leveraging eye-tracking technology in their VR headsets 🤖. This development highlights the democratization of cutting-edge innovations and paves the way for a more inclusive VR ecosystem 💻. The fact that foveated streaming can be employed with other compatible models is a testament to Valve's commitment to open standards and collaboration within the industry 👍. However, it's concerning that this technology may not be fully optimized due to OS support limitations 🤔. Nevertheless, as a tech enthusiast, I'm excited to see how this feature will enhance the VR experience for users in the near future 🔥!
