Victory Brewing is making a beer for America's 250th birthday

Victory Brewing Unveils Limited-Edition Ale to Celebrate America's 250th Birthday

In anticipation of the nation's milestone birthday, Victory Brewing Co. has brewed up a special limited-edition ale in collaboration with Visit Philadelphia. Dubbed Philly First, this unique brew is set to toast the country's semiquincentennial celebration.

The beer itself boasts a crisp and easy-drinking quality, characterized by light hops and hints of tropical fruit. A fitting tribute to the city that inspired it, the can art pays homage to some of Philadelphia's most iconic innovations, including Benjamin Franklin's first public lending library and the invention of the slinky. The label proudly declares, "Philly was first at a lot of things. Now, it’s in your cooler."

The release of Philly First coincides with Victory Brewing's own anniversary, marking 26 years since founders Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet opened the brewery's doors in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. With this limited-edition ale, the company aims to bring people together through the universal language of beer.

Philly First will be available starting Sunday, February 15 at Victory taprooms, with regional bars joining the party two weeks later. The brew will also be distributed in 16-ounce cans and sold at local distributors and specialty beer boutiques.

While details on the ale's availability are scarce, one thing is certain: Philly First is sure to become a collector's item for beer enthusiasts celebrating America's 250th birthday.

I just saw this news about some brewery making an ale for America's 250th birthday πŸ€” and I'm like "yay, beer" 😊 but wait, how much is it gonna cost? Like, I know it's limited edition and all that but if I wanna try it I need to know if it's worth the splurge πŸ’Έ. And what's with the name Philly First? Is it just a play on words or is there actually something special about Philly being first at something? πŸ€” Did they really invent the slinky? πŸŽ‰

OMG, did you see that new limited-edition ale from Victory Brewing Co.? 🀩 It's called Philly First and it's literally perfect for the US's 250th birthday! πŸŽ‰ The stats on tropical fruit hops are insane - they've infused a whopping 22 different types of tropical fruits into this brew. And let's talk about the can art, fam... it's got some serious historical cred. πŸ€“ The label is like, totally giving shoutouts to all the iconic Philly innovations, including Franklin's library and the slinky! 🎊 I'm literally drooling just thinking about trying a pint of this bad boy on Feb 15th. But for real tho... the stats are low-key worrying - did you see they're selling 16 oz cans? That's like, a whole lotta beer going out in 2 weeks! πŸ˜…

omg I'm so down for this new brew 🀩! Philly First sounds like an awesome tribute to the city's history & innovation... did they get to work with any local breweries or was it just Victory Brewing? I love how they're highlighting some of Philadelphia's iconic landmarks on the can art - that slinky detail is genius πŸ˜‚. How much will these 16-oz cans run? and if I do manage to snag one, what's the best way to enjoy it (e.g. with a pizza party or just chillin'?)

What a cool way to celebrate the US' 250th birthday πŸŽ‰πŸΊ! I'm all about that craft beer life and it sounds like Victory Brewing Co. has knocked it out of the park with Philly First. The fact that they're collaborating with Visit Philadelphia is genius - who wouldn't want to try an ale inspired by some of America's most iconic innovations? 😊 Plus, the can art is a nice touch, love how they've incorporated Ben Franklin and the slinky into the design πŸ€“. I'm definitely gonna have to get my hands on some of this limited-edition goodness when it hits the shelves! πŸ’Έ

OMG u guys!! I just heard that Victory Brewing Co is releasing this super limited-edition ale called Philly First 🀩 to celebrate America's 250th bday!!! I'm literally so down for it, i mean who doesn't love a good beer to ring in the semiquincentennial celebration? πŸŽ‰ and can you even imagine the can art?!?! they're gonna have pics of ben franklin's public lending library and the slinky on there which is literally just genius πŸ€“

and btw, victory brewing is having its own 26th anniversary party too which is wild cuz bill covaleski and ron barchet opened that place in downeytown pa like what 25 yrs ago?!?! i feel like im getting old lol

anyway, gotta get my hands on this ale ASAP πŸΊπŸŽ‰ can't wait to try it out & share some pics of the party with u guys!!!

Idk how much of this is just marketing hype πŸ€”. I mean, it sounds cool that they're making a special beer to celebrate the US' 250th bday, but is it really worth going crazy over? The fact that it's only available for a limited time and might become a collector's item just makes me think people are gonna pay way too much for it πŸ˜’. And what's up with all these brewery collaborations? Can't they just make their own beer without relying on other companies to get attention πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Still, I guess it's nice that Victory Brewing is celebrating their anniversary and bringing people together through beer... but let's not get too carried away here 😊

πŸŽ‰ Yooo, I heard they got a new ale out and it's super lit! 26 years of Victory Brewing and they're still killing the game 🀩. I love how they collaborated with Visit Philadelphia to create something special for Philly First. The can art is fire, btw - those innovations are so iconic 😎. Can't wait to try it myself on February 15, who's down? πŸ‘

omg u guys!!! 🀯 i'm so stoked about Victory Brewing's new limited-edition ale, Philly First!!! πŸŽ‰ its supposed to be super easy to drink with light hops & tropical fruit flavors... sounds like a perfect party beer to me! πŸ˜„ the can art is so cool, btw - it highlights philly's history & benjamin franklin's awesomeness. i'm also loving that its release coincides w/ victory brewing's anniversary... 26 yrs of beer magic πŸΊπŸŽ‚ cant wait to try some & share it w/ friends! πŸ‘«

I mean, I'm all for supporting local breweries, but this whole 'limited-edition ale' thing just feels like a marketing ploy to me πŸ€”. Like, how long are they gonna keep us waiting for these beers? And what's the point of releasing them only at taprooms and specialty beer boutiques - doesn't that just price out regular folks who wanna try it? And don't even get me started on the hype around it being a 'collector's item'... is that really what we need in this era of 'experiential everything'? Just give us a good, solid pint without all the fuss and I'm happy 😐.

Ugh, can't believe I have to navigate this crazy forum to find out about a new beer release 🀯. Like, Victory Brewing makes a limited-edition ale and it's all over the news... but where's my favorite brew spot in the thread? I swear, this platform is more frustrating than trying to get a pint on a Saturday afternoon 😩. And don't even get me started on the formatting... 16-ounce cans? Who cares about that when you can't easily find the info you need? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
